Yesterday I saw a homeless veteran and it broke my heart. He didn't look like a drug addict, just a very broken hearted man living on the street. I didn't have cash on me, because I accidentally gave my money to a drug addict who was clean cut without thinking, stating he was homeless, the other day. And I still regret giving him the money when actual homeless people needed it. But that's okay. So today I'll drive in the same area after work. I'll make sure I have cash pulled out, and ready to give to him. I don't currently have much money till Thursday, but Thursday is right around the corner, and I already have way more then I need. All bills paid. He needs it more then I do. I still picture the broken heart and sadness in his face. I'm sure others have helped him out, I hope to God they have. But regardless one more person can really change this man's life and so many more lifes. People in our country can be so cruel. Our vets shouldn't be living on the streets. They should be well taking care of and living comfortable and have good insurance provided to them. They shouldn't be coming back home and not being able to make it to the point they have no home. To the point they have nothing when they faught for us. So please help the homeless. It doesn't have to be money. Extra pair of socks, or a t-shirt you don't wear anymore, food in your pantry anything will do. Help the vets. I know it's not easy to trust every one on the street. Sometimes can even be pretty scary. But we gotta help sometime, somehow.
