Personal: krakkenchaos.tumblr.com Character Name: William Morris Barfée Series: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Age: 12 Bio: William, better known by incorrect pronunciations of his last name (the correct pronunciation is BarFAY as he’ll remind you) is just an average, nerdy pre-teen. He greatly enjoys science and has an interest in spelling as well. He doesn’t get along well with others and as a result, he had no friends for most of his life. The highlight of his young life was winning the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; he earned prize money, bragging rights, and his first friend, Olive Ostrovsky he made in the process. There are no accounts of him showing kindness to anyone but Olive. Personality: You know that kid you knew in middle school with no social skills whatsoever who would insult anyone in a heartbeat for no good reason? That’s William. As Olive proved, he has some kindness hidden down deep, but it takes a great deal of patience to reach it. He’s also very intelligent for his age. He as a serious peanut allergy and anyone who brings peanuts near him will become his greatest enemy. Weapons: N/A Abilities: The magic foot. By writing letters on the floor with his foot, he is able to spell them almost flawlessly. It could possibly be used for things other than spelling though.
