The first friend I made when I moved to Melbourne @MattIrwinPhotography. Our stalls at St Kilda Market were side by side on Sundays. Me, selling my upcycled wares, Matt his photography. I was a maker before there was Etsy, Matt a photographer before everyone became one with insta. That was 17 years ago. He’s the only person left in my world who’s never had a job. Always worked for himself, always forged his own paths. Rare. A true creative (before that word appeared in everyone’s profile). Matt has taken pretty much every photo I like of me, my dog Gus, the ice cream truck. Friends come out of the woodwork and help you when you’re in need and I’ve lost count of the times Matt has helped me. For all those times and these latest pics sir. I thank you. He’s calling this the Clint Eastwood effect ... and I’m taking that!
