This was exactly what Nathan needed. After all the chaos with the fair and his ex leaving him one again, he needed to get away. He also needed to be away from his twin and mother who had been hovering for two weeks now. Time away from absolutely everything where he couldn’t be reached or found was the most appealing thing he could think of. It was that much better when Bash said that he’d go with him. As much as he wanted to be alone, he knew it wouldn’t be good. He needed someone around to make sure he actually came back to civilization. Plus, with Bash around, Nathan knew he’d be able to let off some steam and not have to think about everything that happened. Bash was a safe place for Nathan to just be. He didn’t need to think about his ex or his healing injuries. He didn’t have to remember the fire or the fear that it came from it. Handing the man a beer from the cooler, Nathan took a seat next to him. “It’s been awhile since I’ve hiked ten miles.” Nathan let out a soft laugh looking over at Penn stretched out and passed out. “Same with him. How are you feeling? Think you’ll be up for some fishing in a bit?”
Bash sat back in his chair and watched the fire. After everything with the fair he was more than happy to finally get away, and when Nathan had asked him he had agreed at once. It was nice that they were talking again, past anything with their situationship Bash had missed his friend. Bash happily took the bear and rubbed Chewy's head before tossing a ball for him to run after. "I wish Chew had that problem, I can't get rid of his energy, I'm actually kind of jealous." He laughed. "Yeah, fishing will be good, I did bring food in case we have bad luck. I don't want to be stuck with just smores all weekend again." He teased.
