Hello! My name is Nicole 😀 I haven’t slowed down in a while to say that! In case you are new to following me, here are a few fun facts about me! 1. I started sewing when I was young. The women in my life influenced me in my love of sewing and quilting. My Mother made many of my clothes, my Paternal Grandmother made Barbie clothes for my dolls, and many other women in my family contributed to my adoration of sewing. At an early age, I took advantage of the sewing classes that were offered through our 4H program and Home Economics courses in school. 2. In 2013, I left my corporate career and took a more active role in the lives of my children and family. I started selling my handmade goods in 2014 and things took off from there! I enjoy sharing what I make on my blog and I occasionally create and produce YouTube videos to explain the more complex projects. 3. I am an active member of the Kansas City Modern Quilt Guild and love to stay current on new designs, techniques, and fabrics. I am a firm believer in continuing education. I love to take sewing and quilting classes from my peers. I have served as the Vice President and Program Director for almost 2 years now! Such a fun group of creative folks! 4. I am taking steps to become more professionally involved in the quilting industry. I can’t wait to share about what I have planned! 5. May 3rd is my birthday!
