back to basics
now that graduate school is officially behind me (and especially because i havenāt rejoined the working world yet), itās time for me to put effort into fitness again. and much to my own dismay, i canāt do this on a whim anymore. working out a few times a week while eating mostly healthy and using zero portion control isnāt working for me; i need to get back to what i know works for weight loss, and that is calorie counting and consistent working out.
i know calorie counting has led to obsession in the past, but maybe a little bit of an obsession isnāt such a bad thing, at least when iām starting out. i donāt need abs, i donāt need to be the next instagram model...but i do want to look and feel my best in engagement photos, and wedding photos, and just in general.
bbg 2.0 update
iām going into my third week of BBG 2.0 workouts (did week 15 legs today), and iām already starting to see results. feeling them? not necessarily, because i still feel like iām dying after nearly every workout. but my legs are starting to look leaner, my waist is already starting to trim down just the slightest bit. using every bit of inspiration i can to keep going! despite the fact that i feel exhausted just thinking about one of those workouts. my birthday is just under a month away, so hereās to ringing in 27 feeling and looking healthy AF.

new semester, new workout program
iāve been going to the gym a solid 3-5 times a week each week, but my sense of direction and motivation levels have been way out of whack. thus, iāve decided to restart BBG 2.0. having completed two rounds of BBG 1.0, iām a little bit burnt out of the original workouts to start from scratch again. i tried out 2.0 a couple years back, but as usual,Ā ālife got in the way.āĀ
iād love to say that i want abs in 12 weeks, but iām going to be realistic because i knowĀ āabs are made in the kitchen.ā instead, iām aiming to lose 10 pounds, for my clothes to start fitting better, and to simply feel lean again. between trips out of town and school getting hectic, my nutrition fell by the wayside for awhile...but iām determined to get back into it starting today.
