Softly bouncing on heels, Verin scowled and puffed her cheeks out at him when he pet the cat; not too keen on sharing it with him, but she wasn’t going to tell him off for it. She only hoped that the cat had thrown a fit about the fact. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Ceasing her movements but only momentarily, Verin straightened her back and looked down at the cat before looking up at him.
“I don’t think the cat cares either.”
And of course, he is provided with a non-answer. It was just one of those days with her. Sometimes she was cooperative - pliable even. Others she was not. Unfortunately the latter was more frequent.
“It’s a good thing the cat isn’t an important part in our business affairs then. You, on the other hand, are essential. All I’m asking is you read over the proposal and provide a legitimate opinion, preferably one that is not describing your lack of interest in doing so.”
