Hello, hello!

My name is Shark, or, as most of you know me, Cartoon.

I'm using this blog purely just to post about Mega Man/Rockman and my ocs, but I'm in other fandoms as well.

Why go by another name?

My Mega Man persona is a robot by the name of Shark Man, so I thought it would be cool if he served as my identity elsewhere. (If that makes sense)

What is your sexuality, gender, and pronouns?

Thank you for asking! I am almondsexual and xenogender (masc presenting), and I go by any/all pronouns. Feel free to use whatever you'd like to describe me (neo pronouns included)!

I have roughly 10 the last time I counted, but I could be missing a few.

Computer Man, Indie, Sharpshooter, Ironclad, Sukurappu & Pick, Mushroom Man, Telephone Man, Shark Man (that's me!), and Odin & Beetz.

Odin & Beetz were a collab between me and @cafe-song (Beetz is his)

Plug Man is definitely one of my favorites - his design is so fun, and the fact that he’s a massive nerd about technology is so adorable to me. Like yes I want to walk around in an electronics store while you yap about how each and every piece of equipment in there works 🥹❤️‍🩹

I knew about DOS Shark Man when I was making him, but I just wanted to make a shark-themed robot master oc ^_^

I mostly took inspiration from Snake Man and other aquatic bots !

Shark Man is full robot. He is simply modeled after a Mako Shark and appears humanoid.

I'm slowly realizing I don't think I actually HAVE a favorite Robot Master. Pharaoh Man is my f/o (sharing), but I wouldn't say he's my immediate favorite, as I also really like Magic Man (my first fav), Plug Man, Plant Man, etc. They're all so wonderful and I have a hard time choosing. I'm very fond of the KGNs (I think their designs are the best in the series), and while they are my favorite LINE, there's still so many other good lines of robots as well.

Please never ask me who my favorite is I will spend a year deciding

Mega Man HC!

For a while I've had this little headcanon in my mind that all the minor little robots (mettaurs, ring rings, etc) communicate through specific frequencies rather than speaking due to the fact that most of them don't have mouths (and even if they do, that it's very unlikely Wily or Light gave them voices), and that the robot masters can switch from English/Japanese (whatever language they speak) to creating frequencies with their voice. That way, they can talk to eachother and relay information without worrying about trying to explain something through frantic beeping and body language.

In fact, my oc Suku communicates this way! He was originally a Ring Ring (or Saturn Seeker) on Ring Man’s stage and was built without a mouth, so he learned how to speak through frequencies. Even now, after being shot down by Rockman and building his own body, he prefers to communicate like this.
