This is my once-every-two-years post to this blog, which will probably never be reused given the DR OC scene has passed...

But sometimes I get nostalgic and look over this, and remember all the connections I made and all the fun we had, you know? And some people... it feels impossible to be able to find the players again. So I want to keep this blog as an archive, so I can always remember all the fun I had!

Mmm... it's been a while since I've been here huh?

I'm just stopping by because I kinda miss the community, but I don't know how much of the community is still around. Well, either way... Hi, I guess?

If this blog does get used it’ll be for group rps only. At least in a group I can expect a framework of decency, standards for characters and traits and swift punishment for misbehavior.

Frankly, that’s sad.

I only seem to be coming back to this dash when things are going wrong and I want to defend the people I love and care about.

I’ve defended Indie rping for a long time because I love this community and I’ve rped with it for a very VERY long time. I’ve always cared about it, but honestly, I don’t think there’s any way I can continue to defend the community and the casually ableist way it treats mental illness. I’ve just seen too many gross moments and too many people harassed.

You can continue to follow me if you like; if you want to ask for my skype I’m more than happy to chat over there, too, but I’m done with this shit. I cannot support a community that is actively harming people like this.

tbh i remember seeing like a few posts defending the whole syo thing w/ the ‘well dr tends to exaggerate things anyway’ argument and it got me Heated??? in no way was it okay to twist and portray DID the way that they did and the same goes for other mental disorders and phobias end of story. these conditions are real, and affect actual people, and are always being misportrayed, dramatized/romanticized, or used as fucking accessories to make characters edgier or “give them more depth” and honestly it’s really disgusting. if you’re exaggerating neurodivergence or using it as a tool to make your character “cooler”/more pitiable/interesting/”developed” then don’t even try to defend yourself by claiming that you’re trying to give certain disorders/phobias representation. it’s beyond gross.
