Hug

My friend came up to me when he had the free time and just hugged me. Half scared me cause I didn’t know what he was trying to do. We’re not really the hugging friends either, so yeah... by reflex, I jumped. Elbowed the poor guy in the ribs.

He said, “I love you.”

Also by reflex, I asked, “Why?”

I’m not used to hugging and saying “I love you” to my friends. Nonetheless, this was still comforting and a bit of relief. This week has been crazy and it’s nice knowing that I got supportive friends who are here for me. It’s nice knowing how genuine my friends are too.
