@5signs.
obviously petulant: ‘ what makes a grindylow any different to a lion? ’
@envisas.
legs twisted with tyrell’s legs, its front pressed to his back, its nails making little grooves in his shirt against his chest, its chin pressed against his shoulder. the limpet behaviour is only unique because there’s no consistent umms and ahhs of smug happiness. it’s very smug with tyrell. ‘ i’m hungry. ’

ACID RAIN by Lorn
memphis would kill for another person very easily. there’s no intensity to it but there’s no flippancy either. it knows you can’t just say “this person is annoying you; should i kill them?”, but if someone needed a person out of their life, they’d do that. it’s neither a grand gesture or insignificant to memphis. it comes with a responsibility.
envisas:
‘ mmh – ’ that’s for the scrape. it hurts, but he barely flinches. ‘ i try to. ’ sometimes changes are unavoidable. things get in the way.
it likes him. a lot. receptive and unafraid. a dog that wants scritches more than he’s worried about being kicked. ‘ why? ’
(logs on) (comes to the unfortunate realisation that memphis would call anyone daddy) (deletes my blog entirely...!)
He has such pretty eyes tbh
Darkbeast Paarl is a malformed beast enveloped in blue lighting. With a long body made of only bones, and a wrinkle-covered skull, people say this beast must be very old, very ancient. Or perhaps, it is a descendant of the city of the plague of beasts.
@mimicic I WANT OUR KIDS TO BOND SO BADLY ...
*1 kiss*
he catches it by the mouth, by the waist, kisses it with the kind of sweet ( not gentle but instead cloying, treacle-thick ) impulse that memphis indulges in as often as possible. it wonders if this is anything to do with the way its sprawled on him, comfortable in the seat of his lap, fingers in his hair ( as usual, he all but purrs if you touch him like that, which is why it always does ), near enough to chest to chest. it curls its toes in the sinky fabric of tyrell’s boyfriend’s couch and bites a little to kiss him back.
things i was thinking about last night: memphis never uses sex or intimacy to take someone over. it believes in those things as a different kind of consumption and exchange. it actually doesn’t believe that death is destructive to intimacy, but that the lack of consent involved in killing someone is destructive to intimacy. if memphis ever met someone who explicitly allowed memphis to take their skin, it would probably be in love with that person for the rest of its life. that would be the very height of honour. i would go so far as to say memphis would probably only change skin after that if it was forced to.
You can love a monster, it can even love you back, but that doesn’t change its nature.
