The sun begins it's ascent across the heavens, ethereal rays slowly illuminating the skies, chasing away the darkness of night. She's alone on the deck of the airship, leaning forward against the wooden railings, gaze far beyond the clouds. The solitude is rare, but not unwelcome from time to time. Stifling a yawn, the girl tucks a stray strand of blonde tresses behind her ear, auburn hues fluttering shut briefly as she stretches, arms stretched high.
A slight shift in the air, arrival signaled by a single white feather, gently floating in the breeze. A small smile plays at roseate lips as she turns, golden hair caressed by the soft wind. Familiar visage greets her, and the girl lifts a hand in greeting, grinning.
❝ Lucifer! I didn't think you'd be up so soon. Shouldn't you get some more rest? Especially after everything that's happened lately. ❞
Gently, she chides, deciding against any real protest. His presence was more than welcome, after all. It wasn't that long ago that the calamatic events had occurred, peace slowly returning to the skydom. Not long since he had returned. Gesturing the space beside her, Djeeta rests her head in her hands, elbows leaning against the railings. The arbiter of the skies is silent in his approach, presence peaceful as he comes to rest beside her, gaze reaching into the heavens.
A ray of sunlight shines down upon the pair, creating a halo of light behind pure white locks. For a brief moment, she is breathless at the sight. The former Supreme Primarch, gazing outwards at the reverie. Powerful, a presence commandeering respect. Yet she couldn't help but feel a twinge of loneliness in her heart.
As the sun continues to climb the skies, she gazes out beyond the clouds, countless islands surely awakening beneath it's light. Countless lives, all across the skydom, all to feel the warmth of the sun. Surely, even in that place at the end of the skies, she would be blessed by the dawn.
She is drawn out of her musings by his words, query gentle as he turns to gaze at her, smallest of smiles blessing his visage. Auburn hues flutter shut, once, twice, before she smiles in return, corners of her lips turning upwards happily.
❝ I never get tired of this view, no matter how many times I see it. ❞
Porcelain hand, marred only by small nicks and scars, came to rest over the male's own for a moment, grasping softly. Her voice is cheery, full of warmth as she continues, gazing at the other’s visage.
❝ And you'll get to see many, many more sunrises like this, I'll make sure of it. Captain's always right, after all! ❞
