I believe that cheekmarks appear due to magic exposure from the wand AND being in Mewni?

I mean… just in Mewni because the 2 times we have seen Marco’s cheekmarks, he was in Mewni. And he had hold the wand twice and when he hold it on Earth nothing happened, the wand didn’t even activate; it only got activated after Marco went to mewni and had a huge exposure to magic.

I mean, maybe people who are not from Mewni can only cast spells in Mewni? And only using the wand ‘cause that makes sense I guess?

But yes, I guess that theory is correct… But only because literally ANYONE can have cheekmarks if they get expossed to the wand’s magic AND go to Mewni.
