Guys, look. They finally made a baby stroller for wheelchair-bound mothers. This is so important.
My wife is a physical therapist. She started tearing up when I showed this to her.

An optical illusion tattoo done by tattoo artist Paul O’Rourke.
It's been just over a month since I found out about Jay's death, and it still doesn't feel real.
My brain just can't comprehend the thought of never seeing him again. I'm not just grieving him for the memories we made. I'm grieving him for the memories we can't make.
cant believe we’re ending 2014 with two young trans people committing suicide, rest in peace both of you
(TW: Suicide)
Jay Ralko was a 22 year old transgender man from Warren, Michigan. Disappeared December 10th, was found 2 weeks later. Suffered from bipolar disorder and depression Andi Woodhouse was a 24 year old trans man who killed himself shortly after Jay, but in Pittsburgh. His family has asked that memorial contributions go to Mental Health America of Lancaster County, 630 Janet Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601 or Transgender Foundation of America, 604 Pacific Street, Houston TX 77006.
Jay Ralko, who went missing Dec. 10 in Warren, Mich., was found inside his vehicle in a supermarket parking lot. Police say they suspect Ralko took his own life.
“Either I live the rest of my life as a lonely man who wishes he were a woman or I live my life as a lonelier woman who hates herself”
—Leelah Alcorn
Within the last week I’ve read of two transgender young people—one 17, and one 22—committing suicide.
Being outside of the (so-called)...
Ppl are saying Jared ralko derails leelah alcorn I'm cackling
Well, first his name was Jay Ralko, but that’s all right, I was a little mixed on the name so I did a google search and found out here.
I know what you’re talking about though, I’ve seen it too and - are you serious? If anything (I’m sorry, Leelah), it’s her death that derailed Ralko’s. He died days before Leelah did.
Although, to be truthful, neither one should derail the other. Multiple trans people have committed suicide this holiday season and the only one that is making any wake is Leelah’s. This doesn’t mean her death is important, as it is extremely important and should be mourned by everyone - but so should all the other deaths. We are a community and every death affects us.
I just wish people could be more empathetic. Leelah’s death is causing a lot of anger and frustration in the community and while justified, it is not good for us. Anger and blind fury like the kind I’ve seen since her suicide is what will get this movement killed, not accepted. However, I have seen some really good things come out of it too, such as the Leelah project - and here’s what really pisses me off. You know how the Leelah project is for all trans people? Trans men included? Now the SJW’s are saying that that’s a bad thing because us trans guys have it better than every single other trans person does. They are mad because we are being included in something that is a matter of transphobia, not transmisogyny. Leelah would have killed herself regardless if she were a trans man or trans woman or something different altogether. She would have been treated the same, still gone to conversion therapy and still abused, no matter her gender identity, if it was not the one assigned at birth. This was obvious and blatant transphobia.
I’m so tired of seeing people trying to suppress other trans people’s voices. I’ve seen a few people talk about Ralko’s death, but mostly to talk about Dirt’s transphobia and misgendering of him, and the gall to claim that his transgenderism was the reason he killed himself because “the hormones!! oh, the hormones!!” I just wish that the death of trans people wouldn’t separate our community even further. But of course, the loudest people in our community are also the most toxic.
Sorry that I used this ask to rant about my feelings on the topic. It didn’t have much to do with Jay being a “”“”derailment””“”, but I hope my thoughts helped, if that’s what you were looking for.
remember leelah alcorn, but also remember jay ralko, a young trans man who committed suicide earlier this month
remember all the other trans youth who took their lives. the ones we won’t read about, the ones without a voice
remember that this is not an isolated incident but an epidemic, and leelah alcorn’s dying wish was for us to recognise that and change it
