Grief.
I had my own definition of grief. I thought it was a sad time that followed the death of someone you love. And that you had to push through it to get to the other side. But what Iâm learning is, there is no other side. There is no pushing through. There is absorption, adjustment and acceptance. Grief is not something you complete. Grief is not a task to finish and move on. Itâs something you endure. It is an element of yourself, an alteration of your being, a new way of seeing life, a new definition of yourself. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same again. Nor should you be the same, nor should you want to.
