The Demise of Father Mouret, 1970, Georges Franju
Sylvia Plath, aged 29, after discovering her husband's affair, in a letter to Ruth Tiffany Barnhouse Beuscher, her former psychiatrist (dated Wednesday, 11 July 1962)
Ted Hughes’ sister, in a 2013 interview, says he “didn’t even know that Sylvia would find out about [the affair with] Assia. He’d done everything he could to be very discreet. It was just one of those things. . . ."; ["that woman" - referring to Assia Wevill (35), who rented their London flat with her husband, David (27)]
