George and Granville has lots of wasted space now that they have been converted to one-way streets. What are your priorities for this intersection?
What would you do at University and Summer? These yellow lines show lots of opportunities to shorten pedestrian crossings and improve safety in the median.
Quinpool and Robie is extremely overbuilt. Here is just one of the sneckdowns we will post over the course of this winter. The red line shows the curb today, the yellow line shows where it could be.
Look at all of that extra space around the North Park Street roundabouts. It looks like there is lots of room for a bike path, and maybe even reducing the roundabouts to one lane to make them easier to navigate.
Lilac & Payzant Streets. Prime sneckdown, heavy pedestrian traffic with awkward geometry. There is a 6m strip plowed, leaving 2m of city-owned asphalt covered with snow - a sidewalk would fit beautifully here. Many dal/kings students and professors walk past this location daily.

This is a huge sneckdown at Young and Kaye. The pedestrian island is much smaller than necessary on all three sides. The ploughs took care of Young Street but some long-term observation makes it clear that the entire street could use a slimming down.
These shots at George and Hollis (top) and George & Lower Water (bottom) are two more great examples of sneckdown opportunities in Halifax. Narrower lanes, shorter pedestrian crossings, and a happier city!

Gottingen and Young would be a perfect spot for a sneckdown. Young Street is mind-bogglingly wide, especially where it winds through the Hydrostone Market. The leftover snow shows a perfect spot for a pedestrian refuge (the current crossing is approximately 12m wide), narrower lanes for eastbound traffic, and a much slimmer Gottingen Street, which this report says is 14.0m wide. There's no need for it to be more than 10.8m wide, and it should really be closer to 6m wide.
