Let's try to take this down. I swear it's not a cult
ā³ (have I already sent this? If so ignore this)
Interesting. Ekal hadnāt expected this. There were prisoners sure, but none that were anywhere near this attractive. Itād be a shame to send this one off to slave labor like the other. āCut them loose. They canāt run here.ā @serenabinx
āYou have strawberries here?ā Luca asked, licking his lips.
āYes. Theyāre in season. We get them from the market.ā Ekal confirmed. āDo you like strawberries?ā
āI really like strawberries,ā Luca said, licking his lips.Ā āBut I havenāt had them since starting Basic.ā
Luca blushed even darker and grinned as he averted his gaze.Ā āNot today, no.ā
āC'mere. Iāll vhisper it to you.ā
Kurt shrugged and hopped down to get the bread. āI vouldnāt knov. Iāve never vent grocery shopping other than for snacks. I like avacado on toast. So I imagine this is similar.ā
āItās like if butter and an avocado had an oily baby,ā Luca tried to explain.
Kurt laughed, putting the bread in the toaster. āThat just sounds vierd, but Iām sure itās lovely.ā
āItās better than no butter at all,ā Luca said with a chuckle as he grabbed a couple plates and tipped separated the eggs between them, starting on the turkey bacon.
āHov toasty do you vant your slice?ā Kurt asked. He relaxed, waiting. āItās so cozy here.ā
āYeah, Iām sure,ā Luca chuckled.Ā āCompared to the mansion you live in. This place feel really empty while Mamaās at work.ā
āThereās alvays someone at the school avake. Days are rarely quiet there. If I didnāt have my ovn room I vould get overvhelmed. This vith just you and me I like very much. Our home environments are such opposites.ā
Luca smiled.Ā āIt still sounds like fun. Thereās always someone you can talk to if you need it. People who have had similar experiences you have. People who understand what youāre going through.ā He looked over at Kurt with a smile.Ā āBut this is good too. Itās good to have the company. Itās like a happy medium.ā
āPeople alvays in your business vhether you like it or not. They mean vell I guess. You Iāll never tire of though.ā
Luca blushed and turned his attention back to the strips of meat as he cooked them.Ā āYou say that like you know the future. Iām sure youāll find some bad habit of mine that youāll find irritating.ā
āā¦Everyoneās got bad habits Luca. Iām hoping the gute out ways the bad. Glass half full kinda guy.ā
āI hope so too,ā Luca said as he flipped the turkey bacon, transferring the cooked pieces to the plates as the toast popped out of the toaster.Ā āI donāt think Iāve been with anyone that makes me feel as good as you make me feel, you know? Youāre a genuinely good person.ā
Kurt nods. āItās so easy to talk to you. Iām hardly ever this comfortable around someone nev.ā Kurt said as he put the avacado spread on the toast.
Luca smiled as he finished up the turkey bacon and put them next to the scrambled eggs on each of the plates.Ā āCould you grab the juice?ā Luca asked.Ā āIāll take this to the dining room.ā
āJa, no problem.ā Kurt nodded, grabbing the cups and orange juice. He hummed softly as he followed Lucas into the dining room.
Luca carried the two breakfast plates to the small dining room table and looked up to Kurt with a smile. āDo you have to go back soon?ā he asked softly.Ā āDoes your school get closed for inclimate weather?ā
āIt does. Not all our teachers live at the school. So some of them wouldnāt be able to make it in this veather.ā Kurt told him. āDonāt vorry. I already checked in vith my schoolās director. He told me to stay safe. ā
Luca grinned.Ā āSo we have the place to ourselves until mama gets back from work.ā He pushed Kurtās plate to him and poured himself a glass of juice.Ā āWhat do you usually do on a snow day?ā
āVell I like going out to play in snov, but I have fur. So most people get tired of the cold before I do. Video games and board games are also fun if you have any of those.ā
āI have a couple video games,ā Luca said.Ā āI had to sneak them past Mama, though.ā
āYour mutter is pretty strict, huh? Vhat games do you have? Any ve can play together?ā
āWell, I have a couple handheld games, but theyāre single-player,ā Luca explained.Ā āBut I have my computer that I use for school. I have a few games on that. I think at least one is multiplayer, I think.ā
āVell if prefer to play together but if you like the handheld better ve can take turns. Iām already happy just being able to spend the day with you.ā
āWe could play after breakfast, then.ā Luca blushed and smiled before starting to eat.Ā
ā³ (have I already sent this? If so ignore this)

āThank you.ā He really did just want some company. Whatever Luca was willing to provide; Ekal was content. He strips off his shirt as well and pulls the covers over them both. āSleep well Luca.ā
āSleep well, Ekal,ā Luca said as he rolled away from him and closed his eyes.
Ekal slept, though he did shift a bit in his sleep. Seeing as he was a rather tall long-limbed man it was pretty much guaranteed heād end up wrapped around Luca in some way.
Luca didnāt sleep well, though he had never slept well since he was sent to the front. He felt the limb drape over him and it woke him. He had heard horror stories about the prisoners who had been taken into the homes of the enemy. He had hoped he would never be picked, but here he was.
Now that he was here. Now that he had talked with the man and was assured that nothing untoward would happen to him⦠He was surprisingly comforted by the innocent unintended contact. He slowly fell into a deep sleep, his usual stress-filled dreams calmed into a more tolerable level that let him rest fully for the first time in over a year.
This was the most Ekal did throughout the night. Heād meant what heād said about not forcing anything sexual upon the smaller male. In the morning he wakes but he doesnāt get up. Its so nice having someone else in the bed and sharing body heat. A few extra minutes wonāt hurt.
Luca was so calm in sleep. He looked so relaxed, maybe even content. As he slept, the smaller younger man wasnāt the same nervous prisoner that Ekal had met in his tent.
Then, as if some silent alarm sounded, Luca woke with a sharp gasp and a short curse as he rolled out of bed and desperately looked for his fatigues. āIām late. Iām late. Fuck, not again,ā he panted in sleep-addled panic
Ekal blinked blearily and crawled over to the edge of the bed to see Luca scrambling around. āWhat exactly are you late for little one? We donāt need to go anywhere just yet. Come back to bed.ā
Luca looked up at Ekal in confusion, then around at the room before he nodded and walked back to sit on the bed next to him.Ā āSorry⦠old habits⦠Thought I was⦠late to roll call,ā he panted as he tried to calm down again. He laid back down on his back and closed his eyes as he forced himself to take long, deep breaths. He held his hand over his heart pounding in his chest, trying to will it to slow back down.
Ekal hand was halfway to soothingly run his fingers through Lucaās hair but he stopped and drew his hand back, changing his mind. He didnāt want to startle Luca. āRoutine is hard to shake Luca. Its alright. Youāll settle eventually. Now that weāre both awake though would you like some breakfast?ā
Luca opened his eyes to look up at Ekal when he spoke again. He nodded as he digested his words. This was a new place. He spent an entire year waking up frantically for roll call. It was going to take some time to adjust to a much more relaxed schedule.Ā
At the mention of breakfast, he sat up again.Ā āI should probably eat, yeah,ā he said softly, though he wasnāt particularly hungry just yet.
āProbably? You donāt have to eat now. I mostly just want the company. If you like we can save some breakfast for you for a bit later.ā Ekal offered. āThen after breakfast weāll go do some errands.ā
āNo, itās fine,ā Luca insisted.Ā āI can eat. Better to eat before youāre hungry, right?ā
āC'mere. Iāll vhisper it to you.ā
Kurt shrugged and hopped down to get the bread. āI vouldnāt knov. Iāve never vent grocery shopping other than for snacks. I like avacado on toast. So I imagine this is similar.ā

Now that he was here. Now that he had talked with the man and was assured that nothing untoward would happen to him... He was surprisingly comforted by the innocent unintended contact. He slowly fell into a deep sleep, his usual stress-filled dreams calmed into a more tolerable level that let him rest fully for the first time in over a year.
