Hi!!! been following you for a little bit and have been SO curious: how did you get into web weaving?

hello :D i've always loved poetry, but my first interaction with web weaving was somewhere 2020-2021ish, back in the mcyt fandom--there were a lot of web weaves being made in there, and i adored them <3 afterwards i started branching into web weaves of other fandoms and also ones on general themes, and eventually (and prbly inevitably lol) began making my own weaves, though only recently

Oh, knowing the tragedy is coming but sticking along for the ride anyway! I love a story where the ending is a foregone conclusion. I cannot stop thinking about how Replica tells you what it is over and over again: the story of heroes walking towards their doom -- but the story still matters! They matter! I've been rotating them like crazy lately!

If i wanna try to do it i can't just rawdog it without any prior knowledge or experience.....

How long does it usually take for a single web weave to be like conceived i guess?

i tend to get hit with a burst of inspiration and ignore my responsibilities for between 3-10 hours devoted to finishing my web weave lol, i unfortunately am not smart enough to keep up a queue for them, although i do have a list of topics i'd like to make a weave for plus various quotes and/or lyrics associated with them that i sometimes consult if i don't have any ideas

and as for becoming a weaver yourself--honestly, just go for it! i'd been admiring web weaves for a few years before i decided to try making one of my own, and i found i liked it a lot :D in my case it helped that i'd been reblogging other web weavings plus various pieces of poetry and art for ages, which meant i had an archive to fall back on when i started weaving, but there's a process of trial-and-error and practice is the best way to improve <3

and in all honesty, what i'm interested in is...very varied to say the least wheeze, honestly your best bet is to make a request and i'll let you know if i know anything about the fandom? if not, i can still make the weave if i receive enough context!
