A character onion chart I made today! Going from most favorite in the middle, to the other amazing characters!!
I really like Asgore and I think he’s so cool. I don’t know if my character interests are that hard to figure out, but I love me a good character with a tragic backstory paved behind good intentions *ahem Gabriel ahem ahem*
Me and my wife had roughly a 30 minute conversation about what The Old Order would teach/run as university professors/staff, and came to these conclusions.
Soren - Architectural Design (no description needed)
Ivor - Chemistry (it’s the closest thing to alchemy)
Ellegaard - Engineering (again, no description needed)
Gabriel - Sports Coach (This one was a lot more difficult as there was no dedicated position that Gabriel fits in regard to a proper subject to teach, so we thought a sports coach is the best option)
Magnus - Wood Shop (Again Magnus’s role of blowing stuff up, doesn’t really give him much of an option. We just thought about what he would realistically teach in a school setting and settled on Wood Shop)
My one single MCSM head canon is that The Old Order would lowkey dog walk the backrooms.
Nothing more nothing less.
hot pot hangout with my bff
I brought Miss Ellegaard and Mr Gaster (^^)
she brought a guy from Alien Stage, I forgot his name 🙇

I'm still saving up for a new laptop but regardless, I never stop drawing (^^)

its extremely likely that ill never finish this despite being 95% done, so i'm posting it here
i wanted to make mini refs for my designs of the order in their armor :o)
Man I really enjoy watching shows n stuff, and then get so overwhelmed by how many shows I’m watching. Like I’m watching 3-4 animes right now, and sometimes just trying to keep up with them is a struggle in and of itself. But alas the anime does not wait for anyone😔😔
Ellegaard the diva
So, it’s now time to shed light on one of the more iconic members of the old order. Ellegaard is among, if not the smartest member of the old order.
Where Gabriel has his strength, Soren has his master building, Ivor has his alchemy, and Magnus has his… Magnus, Ellegaard stands out as the brightest member of the group. Founding a city based entirely around further progressing technology and finding new ways to use Redstone efficiently.
Ellegaard seems to be the most well off out of any of the order members, not including Gabriel. Seemingly leaving behind the “Order Of The Stone” title, and moving more towards master inventor/mind of minds. That’s not to say that people still don’t go “look it’s Ellegaard from The Order Of The Stone” that still very much happens, she has just downplayed it so much, that it doesn’t really affect her anymore.
Speaking on Ellegaard’s roll and relationship with her friends, it’s less than pretty. She’s the brains, she’s the one who has to deal with all the complications of the group adventures. Shes gone on to state, during several arguments with Magnus, that she feels like every problem fell on her shoulders. She’s the smart one, she has to have a solution to every problem. I think this is where her disinterest for people derives from. Having to carry all of the weight of decision making. She’s an incredibly talented engineer, with an amazing understanding and compassion for machines, with humans? Not so much.
As far as emotions go, Ellegaard is, stunted. Ever since the separation from her friends, she seems to be a lot more socially awkward despite having an audience who praises her for her intellect. She’s easy to just throw on a pleasant demeanor, and then passive aggressively tell you what you’re doing wrong. This is especially clear when meeting Jesse and Olivia for the first time. She treats Olivia with such disregard and Jesse as-well, depending on if you decide to help Olivia up or do the task. Even then she still just sees them as tools. This doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s mean spirited, she’s just very stubborn. Once Ellegaard forms an opinion on something, she’s not very willing to sway her opinion on it. Case in point, Ivor.
Where Ellegaard has a hidden compassion towards Magnus, after the events of S1, Ellegaard has no real interest in reconnecting with Ivor, after the wither storm is unleashed. Ellegaard had a whole town, and a population of devoted followers. All of which, and also determinately her life, are put at risk and destroyed by the wither storm. So it’s no real secret she’d be less than easy to convince of Ivors redemption.
While I’ve seen alot of “Ellegaard is kind of snobby”, or “Ellegaard is kinda rude”. I feel like that maybe true to some extent, however she’s quick to work with us when she sees how bad the wither storm is. She’s able to show compassion for Magnus when he’s dying in Soren’s arms. She’s obviously very happy to see Gabriel and insists that she stays behind to watch over Gabriel when he develops wither sickness. Ellegaard may be socially awkward but she means well. She may struggle to form bonds, but after the events of s1 into episode 2 Olivia has been under Ellegaard’s mentorship. Given how she reacted to Olivia fainting, I’d imagine those twos relationship has increasingly grown from super fan and idol, to Mentor and Apprentice.
In the end, Ellegaard is just a woman who’s had a lot of pressure put on her. She’s the one that people look too for explanations. She’s someone who people put upon a pedestal of genius. Someone who has to continuously try, and try, and try for people who’s she’s left behind along time ago. Shes someone who struggles to form bonds, or change her opinions, but even the most stubborn person can change their mind. Even the smartest person needs help.
Friends thank you for reading. I love writing these little essays about these characters that I love so much. Since Ivor was the other option expect him to be done next. Till then!
Star out💫
"look, Jax.. I know we don't get along but I think we need to look for the order of the stone."
As I write this Ellegaard analysis, I can’t help but think about my wife the whole time. This is her favorite character of course, so thinking about her while writing about Ellegaard is bound to happen. But I think it’s just because I love her that much.
Anyways the Ellegaard character analysis is coming along just fine and I should be finished with it within the week!!
Damn, its been a week since The Last Act dropped on yt, and I still can't believe Magnus abstracted
One of my faves man :(
More sketches cause apparently it's my "not finishing shit" era yay
Well it seems that lady Ellegaard had won the character analysis poll! Tune in to see me and @weebybeshrimp deliver our thoughts regarding this diva.
