hii :3 im new to this app so i thought id introduce myself a little!

i go by joey on here and im 16, a recently discovered goth, so im just a baby bat. im obsessed with southern gothic as well as millions of other subgenres, im heavily influenced by grunge and midwest emo too!

i am also an artist, i dabble with photography and drawing but its mostly just a fun little hobby rn.

i dont watch much tv but ill watch any 80s movies. im more of a music person, im very into metal of all kinds, goth music, folk, cloud rap and all the way to old country. i am not picky! if music is good ill listen to it, i dont believe in “bad” music.

i dont really keep to a specific “aesthetic”, im influenced by many subcultures but i dont really claim them often, im just under the gothic alt umbrella :)

ive lived in rurals my entire life, which is where my southern-gothic influences come in.

i plan on posting random things for this blog, but i may start posting makeup regularly now

no one puts real emotion into anything anymore. finding someone who cares a little about something is like striking gold, honestly.

it surprises me to learn that people still love, it is an empty hollow shell of what it is supposed to mean. but i guess the word has never meant what it should

its been tainted and damaged for so long it never had a true meaning at all. the only thing that matters is finding which version of it that you believe to be true to you, because love is a box that people try to tell you is a certain way but it never truly was.

it isnt a box if you dont make it be one, it comes in many different shapes. some “love” is shaped as a prison, sometimes its a grudge or a punishment

dont let it be that for you, the world is digital already. find something real in this world that is slowly losing meaning, love already did.
