The image of space that we carry in our heads. 

Contains large quantities of all kinds of details and information. Some areas are dense, whereas others are completely empty. Personal routes are peppered with landmarks, anecdotes and histories. 

There is no ‘correct’ mental map, our perceptions are the reality.
