this might be a super dumb question to ask on here but i figured before asking reddit, im better here: i live in a high rise condominium on the water and im struggling with pigeons coming up to my balcony & trying to build nests. they love to shit everywhere too which, if anyone knows anything about pigeons + their poop, you know itβs acidic and can destroy both the property + furniture. all this said, outside of an owl statue which iβve tried & the pigeons literally started landing atop its head β what can i do to keep them away in a high rise condominium?

there's a million dollar question on her mind and it's aimed directly at him. truth to be told, it's been a thought settled inside her brain since their very first encounter with one another. right eyebrow arching as her arms fold across her chest, supergirl's curiosity can't be tamed any longer as her questions finally spills from her tongue. β so, when you're traveling around the city β do your webs eventually disintegrate or do you have to swing back around to clean up? β
to compensate for not having been here, i'm going to be writing small starters to those who like this post!

im back from my second viewing of supergirl 2026 and my more cohesive thoughts are:
i still am a fan overall of the script. i think while weak in certain areas, it's still better than the 1984 movie script [which i don't think is wrong of me to say!] and milly does a fantastic job breathing life into kara. while not a 1:1 replica of woman of tomorrow, i think it does a decent enough job at showcasing the plot within its time constraints.
i am not a fan of the origin story changes made to kara. i made reference to this in my first post, but really my issues stem from her being younger than clark + being born after the destruction of krypton, because frankly it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
lobo's presence really didn't add anything to me. i said last time that he was just alright and i still stand by that. i think his cigar looked absolutely horrid during the second watching - it looked super fake, which is so minor but still something worth noting in my opinion!! i also couldn't get over what lena said to me - he reminded her of eddie munson and literally, yeah.
i really like the concept of kara using music to drown out the heightened noise she experiences on yellow sun planets. i also think there's a little implication there she uses music to teach herself english, which i'm also a big fan of. i've always pictured kara using television/movies for that purpose, but i do think music could definitely be added to that list. [which i will be doing.]
big fan of how the dynamic between clark + kara was showcased. i love the concept of them sharing an apartment and clark really doing his best to acclimate kara to earth / metropolis. i also love the concept of clark designing their suits; idk, very cute to me!
the needle drop isn't an issue to me LOL. i know a lot of people have had issues with the needle drop song at the end - i don't really care about that lol. sorry not sorry! i think that's a dumb thing to complain about when there's actual things worth being addressed [which i'm getting to!]
where my real issue with the movie lies in the ending. i don't like that kara kills krem, i think it really takes away from the woman of tomorrow comic ending and it's also just... not in character for kara. i feel like this is probably how superman fans felt when snyder wrote superman snapping that one dude's neck - i just really can't wrap my head around it. i really tried to kinda... swallow my feelings about that in my first watch, but coming back [especially after having reread the wot comic after watching the movie the first time] to it, i just really dislike that choice and think it ultimately spoils such a good lesson the comic cared to teach.
ultimately, i am giving it a 2/5. i originally gave a 3/5 but upon rewatch, the excitement & rose-tinted glasses have lifted the slightest bit. i still think it's worth watching and supporting; it doesn't deserve nearly the amount of hate it's received. [and especially for the reasons people have given online.]
iβm seeing supergirl again today :)
iβm still manifesting a marvel rivals dc type game
iβm here still but iβm gonna make an emma frost blog

What can people do to help?
Assuming this is from a foreigner, there's many charities and NGOs working to improve conditions. Unfortunately, I need to note I'm not incredibly familiar with them because most of them operate very far away from my location, so I'm not the best source to verify individual charities. SEEDS India works on disaster relief and management, including extreme weather conditions. I hear ActionAid India and the Mahila Housing Trust are good too. There's Project Tapan by Raise India, but I think it only allows donations from within India. You can also donate to fund many people's medical bills through GiveIndia. Please bring awareness to the issue in your own countries, and remember that the Global North is responsible for 92% of the world's excess carbon emissions, yet the Global South faces the subsequent devastation each and every time. Remember Western overconsumption directly contributes to our suffering. Remember how privileged you are to even have air conditioning. Don't forget about us.
(I wish there was a way for foreigners to donate to the upkeep of unions since workers are by far the ones affected the most by this heatwave, but I believe almost all of them are only allowed to accept domestic donations.)
If any other South Asians know of reputable NGOs/organizations, especially ones operating in Pakistan and Bangladesh (as the ones linked here and in reblogs are primarily based in India) please link them. If you're South Asian, you can send another ask for advice.
I cannot believe that this is the first I am hearing of this. I am devastated to hear of the thousands of people dying and hurt because of this heat wave. Here is a mattha recipe and an electrolyte drink that help to rehydrate in hot temperatures, as well as some tips on how to stay cool during intense heat. (note, I found all these through @ninanation's posts too - I just wanted to compile them here for ease of access) Even if you can't donate to the above linked charities, spread the word and it may reach someone who can.

just watched supergirl (waiting to see obsession now) and iβm gonna write some loose thoughts underneath the cut!!
personally, i really enjoyed the movie for what it was!! i know itβs not gonna be everyoneβs cup of tea and i donβt necessarily think it was nearly as good as superman (2025), BUT i do think itβs a fun movie and it looked good in most scenes too. definitely has a better script than supergirl (1984) - no hate at all towards that movie either, the new movieβs script justβ¦ is simply better than 1984βs script lol. not a huge fan of the changes they made to karaβs origins, but thatβsβ¦ manageable and ultimately whatever to me. (none of itβs applicable here obviously but.) i do think this movie is definitely getting review bombed more than anything, because i didnβt find it to be a 1 star movie in the slightest. i would probably give it a 3/5 based on my first watch - i will be seeing it again next week to form more thoughts, but for now im settling on a 3/5. i think milly did a great job as kara too!! supergirl supremacy!!!! supergirl summer!!!!! letβs go supergirl!!!!!!!!
lobo was alright too ig
