Rant:

to the best of my knowledge, a ‘legal deposition’ is held to gather information for a case. having never been through one, i couldn’t tell you exactly what it’s like. but i would imagine the questions i would be asked would be things ACTUALLY PERTAINING to whatever it is that i am being accused of, or to do with the trial to follow. if they had nothing to do with those things, i probably wouldn’t be very interested in answering them. let’s add into the equation that if i had a snarky, asshole lawyer who is deliberately trying to get under my skin, i can’t guarantee that i wouldn’t return the favour by being sarcastic and snarky in retaliation. you can say what you want about Justin Bieber, call him a ‘cocky asshole’, ‘spoiled brat,’ ‘15 minutes’..’embarrassment to Canada’, or whatever else you can conjure up, but at the end of the day, you weren’t sitting in that room. how much of this is taken completely out of context? i’ve watched the same short 6 minute video the rest of you watched. and the only conclusion you can come to is that somehow HE is in the wrong? personally, what i hear is a bunch of completely off-topic questions, and a condescending attitude complete with snide remarks from a lawyer on the other side of the table who is even CLEARLY going out of his way to try and intimidate the kid. don’t act like you would all remain as calm and collected in that situation. i’ve watched interviews with serial killers, rapists, and people who have actually committed serious crimes getting grilled less than Justin Bieber. …for what? what is he even on trial for? driving drunk? public intoxication? being a nuisance? …yeah, because none of YOU are guilty of all or at the very least some of those things.
