I understand why, but I wish people wouldn’t tag a relationship in a fic if it’s just them flirting to piss off the main love interest. More than half of the Sam/Player tag is actually just Sebastian stories, like I swear it’s more Sebastian than Sam under the Sam tag lol.

I’ve recently picked up Stardew again myself ✨

Since I see you’re a Sam enjoyer, what was your favorite heart event?

For genuine sweetness 14-heart, for entertainment value 10-heart :)

Sam’s 14-heart event is so precious, and the song he composes is very nice to just listen to regularly. I like that you have the option to roast him (“thinking like a kid? that should be easy for you”). Plus the series of events first started around the time that we had our child, so I also saw the story as Sam embracing fatherhood which was so cute. I actually restarted my day when I triggered the final part of the event so I could watch it over and over again… I couldn’t accept that all my heart events with Sam were over so I just have my main save in a perpetual state of not finishing it. I think once I bring myself to actually complete it “canonically” I’ll keep the boombox in the nursery 🥺

On the other hand I think the 10-heart event (the one where you bang him) is just so memorable and funny to me. One detail I really like is that Sam’s room is cleaner than it usually is… he tidied up just for us. But I can’t help but acknowledge Jodi’s behavior in this event… Miss Jodi if you think your adult son is jerkin it in the privacy of his own room why would you go in? Why would you go in. And Sam doesn’t even close the door when she leaves…………. the whole house could hear me pegging him………………

since i’ve seen people confused about the name of sam’s band

the name of sam’s band is determined by your answer in his two-heart event, when he asks what style of music you like.

cheerful pop - “the pelicans”

hi-energy dance music - “xenon chip 3.0″

experimental noise rock - “goblin destroyer”

honky-tonk - “the alfalfas”

they play a different song for each genre in the eight-heart event. emily, shane and leah have different comments for certain songs too.

i believe you can’t see the eight heart event if you haven’t seen the two heart event, but it is possible to skip the two-heart event cutscene without answering the question and picking a music style. in that case i believe the band name will be “the pelicans” but i’m not positive. there also won’t be any music playing during the performance since the game doesn’t know which song to put there.

giving sam a suggestion for the subject of a song (which may come up in daily dialogue, not a cutscene) doesn’t change the band performance, but sam will say “this song is about [whatever you chose]” before they perform. if you never answered that question, he’ll just say “here we go…” instead.
