”One of everything…..” He repeated, shifting his weight on one foot to another before moving to get a large sized box and folding it into a box square and placed it on top of the counter. “People like you are why people like me feels miserable” he sighed, voice coming more of a whine before bending down to retrieve each of everything and carefully placed it in the box. Upon his next inquiry Layne paused, looking up to the the other blond, wide hazel eyes blinking rather confusedly, before having his attention fixated to the name tag on his apron. He took of his name tag then shoving it into the front pocket of his apron; hoping that the latter didn’t ever catch it and ignore his curiousity. Layne did;t say much, he was good at putting a deaf ear at people’s comments anyway and once done, he neatly folded the lid of the box closed and pushed it towards him. “That’ll be 32.99 please”
He knew it was a bit much of him to ask for everything, but he couldn't help himself--the man, whom he noticed cast away his name tag, told him to pick something; so that's what he did. Also, it gave him more of an opportunity to talk to him. Frowning, he quipped a short. "I already saw your name tag, you know. I'm just not sure how to pronounce it." Though, his frown was quick to turn into a smile once more. Pulling out his wallet, he looked at the box the man pushed across the counter. Now he felt a little bad when he thought about how heavy that might have been for him to hold, if even for a short time--he didn't look very capable of carrying heavy objects, he was so thin. "Wow, so cheap! Do you still have a favorite pastry here?" Something told him the answer might be no by how thin he was, but Matthew tried anyway.
