please be aware ai ‘ detectors ‘ are extremely unreliable and even see shakespeare as ai , most ‘ detector ‘ websites are actually using ai and then using those texts to get / understand the way writers write.

She really loves an emdash too, just like AI does. I *do* like an emdash, but at least I use them properly and don’t leave spaces in there. 🙄 thank you for calling her out. I hate this AI bullshit. i've ran remytherat1's fics through ai detectors (the ones that don't work off of ai and also are highly recommended) and none of them are coming up as ai-generated text, in fact one of them came back as 100% human writing. i'm not saying she isn't using ai, but i just wanted your take?

I love fanfics but I swear tho there are so much more NHL writers that are using Ai! Even F1 writers as well! I swear to god it’s just too fucking obvious!! I hate it I don’t know how explain it ! but omg the sentences, the word choices , it’s just too obvious!!! and you know what else? The smut thing like it always have the fade to black kind of thing…then “the author” would say oh I don’t know how to write smut I feel like..babe just subscribe to paid Ai that allows explicit content to write it for you or whatever , don’t use the free kind that refuse to generate explicit content for you!! cause sometimes I just couldn’t help but laugh..those fanfics doesn’t have souls really

i didnt even clock that the reason it says "fully fictional hockey character" is because there's smut in it 😭 oh my gosh. i'm not huge into f1 but im sorry this is happening there too!! and yes the fanfiction people actually write always has a heart and soul to it <3

also the amount of metaphors was a big red flag, some of them did not make sense or did not work with the sentence at all

noo i dont think its bad but its good to note that a lot of ai has been trained off fanfiction! so it can be harder to discern.

i was reading that piece after the prompt had been removed (or i somehow missed it) and i had a weird feeling about it being ai. i learned that ai uses a lot of metaphors to try and resemble feelings they don't have and i started picking up on that while reading. i gave her the benefit of the doubt but i guess my gut was right in the end :/

also that one anon that's going around to everyones blog and saying ai is not that serious because it's everywhere is frying me—of course ai is everywhere! big companies have invested millions of dollars into generative ai and are now shoving it in our faces to make a profit off of it, even if it's at the expense of everyone's drinking water.

you can have your own opinion on the usage of generative ai, but one thing we should all agree on is that ai has absolutely no place in the creative arts. ai cannot make art—art takes passion and creativity which ai has none of. any writer should and would know this first hand. veryyy disappointing to see from her!

ai is not that deep SO many apps use ai, google, tiktok, insta, spotify even tvs use ai

which is why i specified GENERATIVE ai.

ai has been around for YEARS and it's likely older than most people on here. it's been used in video games, websites, and yes the apps you've listed as well. while it is present in most social media we've used that doesn't mean it should be accepted. the use of generative ai on these platforms are optional. we don't HAVE to use them.

also yes ai IS that deep. if you don't feel sick to your stomach just from the economical and environmental consequences of the continued use of generative ai you should just block me lol.

ai, especially generative ai, is that deep, and to say it isn’t is quite ignorant. just because it’s being used more commonly everywhere on all sorts of platforms, doesn’t mean we should just accept it, but should still be proactive in limiting its usage.

ai being used in ways it’s useful, like for medical imaging is one thing, but to use generative ai to spew slop that’s harmful to the environment is another.

it’s obvious that ai isn’t going anywhere any time soon, but maybe you should start by thinking abt the implications it has on the future.

not only is it detrimental for the environment, but it is to creativity. when ai slop is produced like the whole ai fruit love island thing going on, and there’s a positive reaction to it by the general public, it only further encourages its use. we’re actually losing the plot if thinking rubbish generated by ai is actually entertaining, instead of finding media made by, and thought of by real people who put their time and effort into it.

even though companies are trying to push forth the use of ai, there are still many ways to limit your usage (eg putting -ai at the end of your google searches to not get the ai overview). it’s a matter of understanding just how harmful it can be, and being more intentional abt your actions, and the way you consume media and information
