Jake sensed that he had some kind of effect on her and hid a sneaky smirk while they were close. What she probably wasn’t aware of was that she had the same impact on him. Letting a laughter free at Taylor’s smart remark, Jake petted Olivia once while in the meantime the other cat made its appearance. “This one. This is my friend. You two can go,” Jake talked to the singer and the cat she was holding, joking, now leaning down to pet Meredith that didn’t protest. “I’m not evil, it must be something else. I’m most surely just the most handsome man she’s ever seen in the house,”

Watching Meredith stroll past and right over to Jake, Taylor pouted a little. She loved both her cats equally but didn’t understand why Meredith didn’t seem to like her, or anyone apart from Jake. “She’ll turn on you one day and I’ll laugh” Taylor said with a small smirk playing on her lips. “You are evil and that’s a lie” The blonde laughed once again, putting Olivia back on the ground, watching her run off to who knows where, Meredith following close behind. “I’ve had more handsome people here” She shrugged, looking at Jake with a smirk playing on her lips. Taylor was mostly teasing but she wasn’t going to let that be known.

Jake wasn’t so sure what he was really doing there, what he’d been doing since they’d been reunited. He didn’t actually think anything through, he just took action knowing that he’d always enjoyed Taylor’s company, especially lately. Wrapping an arm around her waist, he dragged her closer and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, looking her in the eyes before letting go of her and making his way into the house. “Where’s the devil cat that likes me? I’m secretly here for her,” Jake joked, his eyes still being on the tall blonde.

As Taylor was pulled closer to Jake, she looked down at the ground, catching her breath. Part of her hated the effect that Jake had on her -- she thought that it wasn’t fair. Tilting her head as he asked about Meredith, she pushed her brows together. “She likes no one. You’re crazy” She pouted a little and walked through the house. Seeing Olivia walking over to them, she picked her cat up “This is the one that you should want, too bad you can’t have her” Placing a kiss on top of Olivias head, she smirked at Jake. “Although evil does attract evil”

As soon as the last text to Taylor was sent, Jake grabbed his keys and drove all the way to her house. It was kind of early in the morning so the paparazzi were hopefully asleep and not already tracking down the singer’s movements, hence why he’d chosen to visit her at that time. Parking the car in front of her house, the actor made his way to her entrance door and firmly pushed the doorbell button a few times.

Getting the text messages from Jake confused Taylor a bit. She wondered what the actor wanted and why after so many months he was contacting her again. No matter how many times Karlie told her to stay away and that Jake was bad news, Taylor didn’t listen. She couldn’t help but be drawn back to him each time. She didn’t bother to change from her PJs shorts and a singlet, Jake had seen her at much worse. Hearing the doorbell ring, she made sure that Olivia and Meredith weren’t anywhere near the door before walking over and opening it. Seeing Jake standing there a small smile played on her lips “Hi” She said casually, stepping aside so that he could come in. Shutting the door once he did, Taylor bit her lower lip as she looked at the actor -- not sure what to say.
