If anyone were to ask Lydia why she had given a slave her name, she wouldn’t have known how to answer it. The young man in her bathroom was the first, and currently only, slave she’d ever given that information to. Some learned it through hearsay but she never gave it to them. Though, the curly haired slave was also the only slave Lydia had brought back to her cabin, bathed, planned to feed, and not expect sex or something in return.
Lydia dropped the dirty clothes she’d taken from the bathroom into the garbage, after almost going with her original idea of burning them. She grabbed her phone and made an order for food. She ordered a broccoli cheese and rice casserole dish, which Lydia knew had onion added in so she made sure to tell them she wanted no onion– and that she’d be checking herself when it arrived. The same thing happened when she ordered a mixed vegetable soup and asked what was in it (again onion), she told them no onion and she’d be checking when it arrived.
he didn’t want to get out right away. perhaps he’d wait until the water began to cool, as it was still considerably warm and he didn’t want to miss out on or neglect this liberty. who knew when he’d next bathe? the thought had him sighing softly. he leaned further back into the tub, warm water engulfing more of his body. his eyelids slowly shut and he relaxed.
surprisingly, he’d actually fallen asleep right then and there. albeit a few minutes; five or ten at the most, it was strange. and very lucky (or, was that lucky?) that he didn’t end up drowning himself. the water had cooled off by then and so he let the water drain, long limbs lifting him out of the tub. god, he was freezing. in a hurry, he grabbed the towel and drooped it over his shoulders; hugging it to his body. it was only a few minutes more and he was slipping out of the bathroom door, the pair of clothing feeling so strange compared to what he'd been wearing for several weeks. he'd went with the pants, after a very long debate. would he end up regretting his decision soon? probably.
