Prepping the Garden for 2020

My gardener came today.

Let me start out by saying I was feeling lazy.

There were so many weeds around my self-watering containers. I knew I needed to pull them out or clip them down somehow. But I was totally lazy.

Hi. So I knew we had a water shortage. I won’t get into why I think it’s messed up that we flushed our water reserves to save a smelt, but now we’re in a dry cycle and no reserves.

I lost 3 more nearly ripe tomatoes last night

I just needed to cry on someone’s shoulder.

This picture is from a few days ago…another lovely heirloom beefsteak mostly eaten overnight. There was a huge beetle on it that I wanted to squish but he flew off before I could find my gloves.

Now, I’m fairly brave and have squished a few other things with my bare fingers, but this was just too big, and crunchy.
