the thing is idk how you would call var during simon saids since they are either in a direct line looking forward if playing or standing behind them if out people also said that there were player using var for no reason before cellbits var which probably also peeved ludwig off more than qt being scammed out of a win or anything (she still won the redo tho)

I think your team calls it for you atp and you have to trust them. Or they just don't allow it for that game

It's so odd, this is they're job. And honestly I doubt all of those fans actually care, they just want their ship to win out. Which is fine, but just say that. There doesn't need to be a moral issue as to why you dislike some other ship. Like I saw someone say peter was her tony stark 💀

Yeah, i get lud wanting people to call for var in moments they catch in person, like i do think it’s more interesting that way (than if a chatter thinks they see something, goes back in the vod, zooms in, then tells the streamer lol). And cellbit is pushy in general lmaoo, but yeah i’m guessing lud didn’t think about that aspect until he thought cellbit had done it. Though i don’t think he was covering for qt lol, im guessing he just doesn’t like the back and forth of players arguing something wasn’t fair (hence only 1 var per day lol). I feel like lud would give them no var if he could, but he knows people get intense about it so he gives everyone 1, i think he’d rather everyone just accept the refs calls and keep it moving lmao. Like cellbits comm is mad at ludwig, and cellbit literally won the event, so imagine if he hadn’t. Sometimes it’s just better to acknowledge human error and respect the results. Half of competitive sports is complaining a ref/ump/official is biased against you, it’s par for the course.

probably a cold take but this is by far my least favorite thing about the nuzlocke invitational. i was watching a lot of the nuzlocke streams, including streamers i've never watched before, but kind of checked out when i realized how much of the final result was going to come down to luck between encounters, match ups, hoping your opponent makes a mistake, etc. overall the tournament was too predictable and the nuzlocke mostly mattered in the wrong ways. without thinking about the tournament the nuzlocke streams were fun though!

yea I really enjoyed the build up, but the show down itself was meh

people are so upset at lud on cellbits behalf cus he called var on a simon saids round qt won so people think ludwig is being biased cus he got upset at cellbit and framing him as a bad guy for calling var and was telling him he cant/shouldnt look at chat for var check (which they said he didnt we was just told by a teammate and brought it up for them) which is wild to me cus EVERYONE was looking at chat 😭

yea if lud felt that way he needs to address it before a game or something, not right after someone does it. It's makes it clear who he;s talking about

That’s the thing though, you can’t argue with this logic lmaoo, bc it doesn’t actually matter if a 14 year old boy is better than a 24 years old woman at soccer, because he will never be able to compete against her in any professional capacity. It’s not even about what’s “true”, “biological”, or “statistical”, because in reality, these things have literally no effect on the actual sport itself. The fastest woman will never have to race the fastest man, it doesn’t matter if he’s faster than her, because she is not competing against him lol

I feel like comparing men’s vs women’s sports as if the “skill difference” matters is so ridiculous. Not only do women not need to compete with men in most professional sports (and therefore it’s irrelevant to compare the two), support for sports has never been contingent on level of skill, metrics, or performance. It’s why people support teams for 30+ years that have never won at the professional level. Just using the US as an example, people have entire generations of families that support teams solely based on region, completely regardless of skill or performance.

this exactly! When they bring up the womens soccer u15 thing it's like...ok sure even if that happened the exact way you describe, it doesn't matter! Women still deserves to play professional soccer

basically I'm saying that the reason womens baseball is so "behind" in skill (in their eyes) is because the there is no support or opportunities for women. The responses was "they should train anyways if they like the sport." I said it's hard to like a sport that pushes you away at every turn and then he responded you "don't have to play a sport to enjoy it" ?? like what are we doing here
