This might be a weird comment. But i really have to thank this game for helping me get through a really hard time. I have a fear of sex basically but this game was wonderful an easing alot of my fears. The optional censors, the ablility to say no at any time, the ablility to reject all of them and having the cubis all understand. it all helped so much. It was kind of like a therapy treatment. I don't know if that was a goal of this game, but it did help

Is if possible for kael to fall in love? I know you said aki is far more prone, but kael seems so sweet and careing, almost like a guardian in a way. Surely a monogumus cubi could be omenhome every night after oreformingnfor their food from patreons. On that note, could incubi work in brothels legal brothels get payed and fed ?? And live good lives in the human world if they chose to stay like the good endings suggest?? I'd love to write something about it, I'm just so fond of them.

Nope, Kael is 100% aro. He’s extremely caring and grows fond of other people (human and ‘cubi alike), but does not have romantic feelings. Also ‘cubi are not monogamous at all, in case it wasn’t clear!I imagine it’s possible some ‘cubi have worked in brothels! Skipping the whole seducing a human thing and just wait comfortably for food to get to them xD

I actually had quite a few ideas for asexual 'cubis. Since I'm asexual myself I figure they might mistake themselves as being the norm as it is normal for aces to mistake themselves for being pansexual for a while. My theory is that ace 'cubis might find out they're ace by being hit with random sex repulsion at awkward times. Lots of aces have no issue with the act we just don't have the attraction thus the drive is often lacking. So it's more like they'd have an eating disorder to other 'cubis

So out of curiosity, are there any succubi or incubi that are asexual? Or even have feelings of romance? I know the default or usual is them being pansexual and aromatic. But can demons fall out of that norm? And if so how would they sustain themselves?

That’s a good question!Deviations from that norm are rare but not unheard of.Akki actually leans towards developing romantic feelings, which is... pretty sad, considering anybody a ‘cubi can fall for will either age up and die when they’re not looking or will never reciprocate them. For an asexual-leaning ‘cubi, the only way to survive would be to ‘team up’ with another ‘cubi to leech some of their energy as they feed. The usual is for them to become sneaky shadow leeches, following other ‘cubi on their escapades and stealing off them without them noticing.This is all from the top of my head with a very undeveloped lore anyway, so feel free to come up with your own ideas about it!

Is Side B still a thing?

Hello again! So sorry for the radio silence. We’ve been getting a lot of asks about Side B, so the air will be cleared starting now.

First off, yes, Side B is still in production! Wooooo. Unfortunately, there was a lapse in communication which led to confusion as a whole about what was going on with the project. However, we’re back on track with 2018. We don’t know when exactly the game will be released now, but we’ll give an estimated date when we can.

Anyway, yeah, that’s it. Side B is still going. Not too much rigamarole involved. However! We’re now starting auditions for voice actors since we have the extra time. All the info is in the link below, so yeah, if you’re a voice actor or know voice actor people, spread it around :) :)

Just a small update

Good evening, I write these way too late! Just a small post to let everyone know how it's going. We're still aiming to be done around the end of July and start of August. No set due date just yet, but everything's coming along nicely. In regard to the question I asked last month, it appears more people want voice work in Side B rather than not. Which is cool! Yet it seems more people are unable to donate compared to those who can. In either case, it's clear that the majority of y'all want VA work. So Side B will officially have voice acting. Woo! It's exciting but keep in mind I don't know how we'll be going about finding the actors just yet, or if this will require fundraising. Consider this just as confirmation for voice acting in this game one way or another. Anyway, that's it for now. Stay turned for more Side B news and samples as we get closer to our end goal.

Hello! I've been wondering how do you design the demons' clothings? Is there any specific references, do they have distinctive style etc etc? Thanks in advance!

Hi! Artist here ;)For the original CDC I basically googled incubus and “sexy anime demon” and started from there xDKael and has slight influences from ancient middle east because that’s where he originally spawned (he’s the oldest one).Mirari’s inspiration was the typical fantasy dancer class.Orias was funny because we said “we won’t have him in belts just because of his BDSM kink” and we ended up giving him belts regardless! He spawned... somewhere between the 1600s and the 1800s, iirc. We wanted him to have some airs of nobility, hence the coat and the ruffles.Akki is just... pretty much generic fantasy RPG kind of thing.I have a thing for gold ornaments and trims, so they all got them :P

For Side B, Siyu is chinese inspired. He’s very very old, regardless of his looks, and he’s pretty fancy.Julien is a mix match of things because... Julien. The base inspiration for him was... some sort of priest, but also keeping his teasy nature. So he got prayer beads and the rest was just mix and matching random ideas.For Berk, we wanted him to be to be a simple guy from the mountains. I ended up looking at some eastern european traditional clothing for references and his shawl ended up spawning from there! Rashne’s inspiration was a simple warrior. IIrc his clothing has some slight mongolian influences in there? My mind is a bit fuzzy on the details.

So...a question

Hello! This is the writer, and project lead of CDC: Side B. I’m happy to say development of Side B is going smoothly. Although there is no set release date just yet, we’re continuing  to make steady progress. Considering the ups and downs that have come with 2017, I consider this a huge success! However, as we get further and further into development, there’s one topic I’ve been considering.

Voice Acting. (shhh I know the FAQ said it wasn’t going to happen)

Now, I’m aware the first CDC had voice acting, and it was very well done. I’d love to see Side B match this precedent. Unfortunatelyyyyyy, voice acting is not cheap. It’s a very intensive task, for both the actors, director, and mixer, and I believe it deserves compensation. 

Mind you, I believe that of my whole team. While I’m fine writing the game for free, the artist, colorist, programmer, editor, GUI designer etc. have gone above and beyond the call of duty imo. I’m grateful for what they’ve done to help make this vision a reality! You guys have no idea ;u;

But aside from my gratitude for my team, the question I’d like to ask you, the potential players, is this: is voice acting something you would like to see in Side B?

Personally, I would enjoy having these characters voiced, but there’s no way I’d ask my team to contribute money when they’ve already done so much already for free. So to that end, I see voice acting as a nice, but unnecessary addition. It adds to the charm and immersion of the game, but Side B can stand alone even if everyone is silent.

With that said, if voice acting was to be included, it would have to be based off donations from you, the players. It feels uncomfortable to ask this, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try!

So some brief logistics: from what I understand, voice acting would cost between 1.5k and 3k dollar-inos depending on whether it’s partial or full. Full voice acting would be the general favorite, but you have to pay for what you want. So consider the (hypothetical) fundraising goal to be around 2.5k to 3k. Yikes. A lotta bucks.

Considering this, please vote in the following poll about your opinion on voice acting in Side B. It’ll give me an idea of how to proceed from here.

How old is Connor? Do the incubus in side B know the other demons from the first game? I'm sorry for the questions 😱I'm so excited!!!

Connor’s 19—a year older than Claire was in her game. (Fun fact: that would make her in her late twenties around the time this game takes place. Time flies!)

The Side B incubi don’t know the demons from the first game, but the first game demons probably know about them.
