Hi everyone, my name’s Calzone/Cal/Callahan! I am an artist and a writer who very very much enjoys his ocs and world building :]
My asks are open, I don’t know what you’d want to ask me but I’m always open to questions about ocs, art, books, or fandom stuff :3
Don’t use my work for anything or edit it.
And
Don’t do anything nefarious with my ocs. I in fact like them quite a bit.
Everything else is just explaining tags I use for my posts and interests I like!
Tags (I’ll be updating this as I add more)
My Posts Tag (Anything I post will have this)
My Art (Both Traditional and Digital)
Writing (Mostly silly anecdotes)
Story Tags (Stories I’m creating, includes oc content, world building, and anything that relates to it, I’m not very good at spreading at lore drops on anything so do forgive me)
Kuebiko (Yin and Yang and the whole shabang) This one is my true pride and joy, if it ever gets published it’ll be as a comic or manga :]
Interests I Have
Horror Media (Films, Books etc.)
Books (I don’t mind the genre as long as it has no romance, just can’t read a book about it for some odd reason (except specific types it’s a whole thing) If you have recommendations would love to hear ‘em!)
Videogames (Love Ultrakill and Dead by Daylight)
Manga (Not a huge fan but have a few series I like aka Blue Lock and Trigun)
Poetry (Fun to write and fun to read! Mines pretty awful but that’s the fun of it)
Music (Rock and Indie Fan I have an obsession with QOTSA)
My Cat
Architecture styles
Mathematics/Science
And last but certainly not least: Art (All forms, I personally draw a lot of traditional with a few digital sketches here and there. All minus AI, which is disgusting)
Thanks for listening to me ramble! Hope you like my work! :S
Today i learned how to draw rocks! More info / yapping under cut :3
I tried to follow along with this tutorial I found whilst scrolling around on yt for the center rock. I tried to think more in the "this is a 3D object" sense with the other two because I feel like the first one looks really flat but it looks decent in the end.
The tutorial reccomends starting out with a grayscale map of the colors which I've never really done before so forgive me if it looks a little off.
I like the top-left one, I think I was able to get across the shape language I wanted with my strokes. Overall, nice way to kill an hour or two and learn something fun :3
read The Silent Patient with my friend a bit back and decided to draw Alicia. Thinking about making a physical painting of her painting Alcestis but we'll see
Today’s art study was backs! :]
(not very happy with it quite frankly but I think I just need to get a better understanding of the muscles in different angles. But that’s a problem for tomorrows me to figure out)
