Super Gaadi

This is a Communication Design project that brings together the story of the entangled lives of place, objects and people in an interesting narrative format. Drawing upon historical and ethnographic approaches it brings to life a small place on the tourist map of Gujarat and unravels the mystique around its prized possession – a series of Ford Super Deluxe cars. Culturally, the interaction between objects and people is a very interesting phenomenon. People give meanings to objects and similarly objects define people. Over the last 70 years the Ford Super Deluxe cars of Vanthali have played many roles. It has carried many people and with people, emotions. The people and the cars together form an endless array of stories and memories. The main aim of the project is to stitch all the interesting stories and communicate it in a form of documentary film.
