hm.. i suppose i might have! i must’ve lost count on how long i’ve had it. what about your jacket, naegi? how long have you had it?

Well, honestly, the jacket is just school uniform... but if you mean my hoodie, I got it maybe four years ago at a novelty store. I thought it was cool because the zipper went all the way around the hood, and I've had it every since.

“Well, it’s not as simple as that. I’m not even sure for myself if I was. Enoshima told me that, apparently, she wiped my memories of the entire situation, but I don’t exactly trust her. In fact, I don’t trust her in the slightest beyond inciting despair. I’ve found out what I know through first-hand sources like you and your classmates, but a good deal of it is from the apparent mastermind herself. From what I’ve seen her of her, she is capable of pulling off such a stunt. That’s all the information I have on this.”

"Unfortunately, you're right. I even had my own memory wiped, too, so I couldn't tell you whether you used to work there or not... although, with us, she had a reason. What reason did she give you for your memory being wiped?"

“…I see. I was hoping you somehow weren’t involved in that mess Enoshima cooked up. But, I suppose we’ll never really know why they were there, unless you could find some clues or information regarding them. That’s unlikely, though. At least, I think so.”

"Haha... not involved, that's kind of funny. I don't think I'm nearly lucky enough for that to be the case, though. I'm just glad I never had to kill anyone."

"But..."

"...what about you? You seem to know a lot about this whole mess. Were you involved at Hope's Peak Academy before the Despair Event? And how'd you survive?"

“Well, that makes sense. You attend Hope’s Peak, after all. Or at least, I assume so. Perhaps they were an animal breeder? There seems to be a comfy life for high quality breeders. Some people take purebred animals very seriously, you know. But then again, they might have been used for some scientific experiments? Biology and related fields — both theoretical and applied — are equally likely at a school like yours. Why, with the eccentricities I’ve seen in you students, they could apply to any sort of Super High School Level.”

"Used to. Used to attend."

"I know there was a Super High-School Level Botanist, and I think a physicist, too, but I'm not so sure about an animal breeder. I guess I have no way to find out, though, now... so I suppose anything's possible."

“Fortune teller? You don’t say. You know, I think I’ve heard someone mention him before. He wouldn’t happen to be a Super High School Level Fortune Teller, would he? And, chickens? Well, I suppose I could see that. Goats aren’t exactly allowed at my school — rather, it’s more of a situation where no one ever disallowed them.”

"Yeah, that's him. Just about everyone who went to my school had that kind of talent, but I was never really sure about him... anyway, I get the feeling we only had the animals because there was someone who needed them to practice their Super High-School Level talent. Like an Animal Tamer or a Farmer or something."

“Now I’m curious about this Hakagure character — what’s he like? Surely he’s not haughty and overtly formal like Sasahara is. Are goats even allowed at your school?”

"Haughty and formal"? no, that doesn't sound like Hagakure-kun at all. He's a little bit off the wall, honestly, but he's a really well-known fortune teller so I guess he does well enough for himself.

I don't remember seeing any goats in the building, but we did have chickens, so... it's really not that farfetched.
