Huh. Surely the pillar is just a pillar and there's no visual implication here!

"If you start wearing a hat like that, I will no longer be friends with you."
I'm kind of upset how nobody (Sherlock and Cordelia) understood how difficult it was to make that decision and why. It was a sacrifice for family peace and solving the problem because he knew that not being allowed out, his family and other people might get hurt or killed if he didn't make that deal. That just killed me. Like damn Silas must've done a number on Mycroft growing up for him to be so nervous and flinching 😭 leave my boy alone. And yes, he found another way at the telegraph office but he didn't plan that the night before clearly. It was a pis-aller, move of last resort. Somebody should’ve kept faith in him…
Mycroft can't really sit still
very relatable
"something or someone is not straight" oh im sure
i know diagetically the reason no one identifies xiao wei as not being shou'an immediately is that the one guy who actually knew shou'an was shot and their english escort had poor eyesight and photos are less common + worse quality in the 1870s but at the same time there's like an obvious joke i could make here about racism

Zine Tseng in Young Sherlock season 1 episode 7 (2026) dir. Tricia Brock Costume design by Jany Temime
"xiao wei and sherlock had no chemistry whatsoever, i can't believe they tried to make him straight-" NO THEY DIDN'T NO THEY DIDN'T NO THEY DIDN'T HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE IMPLIED GAY IT WAS INTENTIONALLLLLJSFJLASNDLFKNASDKLFNASLKD
I don't know how anyone can take a kiss followed by an exchange of "how do you feel?" "how am I supposed to feel?" "how do you want to feel?" "however I'm supposed to" as something a straight character would do or say. If it was meant to be taken that way, they would've had NO reason to write the dialogue that way. Though I'll admit I'm a bit on the fence about whether the intended implication is him being gay or aromantic, but either way, that's a queer writing choice. It's also a neurodivergent one, but what version of Sherlock isn't autistic to be fair.
Brother Dearest
Mycroft Holmes knew from early on that there was something unspeakably different about his brother. Sherlock moved with a uniquely airy resonance to his step, practically swaying with every step his feet took him; he let his words jump out with a bluntness that cared not for any taboo, and consequently spent his most formative years entirely separated from his peers. But well, most plainly, Sherlock had not expressed any interest in courtship at all. Or Mycroft suspects an amorous connection between Sherlock and James, and he does his best to ensure that they don't find themselves in any legal trouble (AKA Mycroft goes about supporting his troublesome little brother in the most Mycroft way possible)
Sherlock Holmes & Cordelia Holmes ↳ YOUNG SHERLOCK (2026 —)
Love love love how Hodge was the one that had to move aside instead.
It's not confirmed whether Zine is coming back for season 2, but if she doesn't and they introduce a new love interest, I'll pray to every star that she is not Irene Adler. I'm still traumatized.
A new cast member just got introduced. I'm so scared, Apollo, please bless me with your gift another time. I wasn't even trying to be funny 😭.
Mycroft Rant (Young Sherlock)
God he’s just frickin adorable because what do you mean he gets all dressed up to get his brother from prison and then jokes around with him because he’s missed him and he loves him? What do you mean he’s so business and professional but he’s not afraid of showing he cares of his brother? And he looves his mother so much, and he’s SO HAPPY to see her in Paris confident and free and outspoken. His face is just relaxed for once and happy and sweet. He’s got his mum back :sob::face_holding_back_tears: Like hold all investigations, gotta hug my mom and admire how amazing she is. Love that for him. Like Sherlock has to pull things back to focus. And then Mycroft is not like a hardened veteran government member so he freaks out when things go wrong. Him spiralling after Mailk kills Hodge, omg I felt so bad for him :sob: He just tries so hard to figure things out on his own. And then the way he walks across the room and looks at everything and counts the steps and the magnifying glass  Like not the dignified manner of waiting where he was sat, and I love that so much. He’s so babygirl I’m sorry. Like he’s cool and proper but warm and casual at the same time. I need more of him in the next season. More scenesss. Like I know that Sherlock and Moriarty take precedence bc main characters and rivalry arc, but give me more Mycroft pleasse. I relate to this man too much lmao. Max Irons really brings this warmth and emotional sensitivity and vulnerability to Mycroft that feels new and fresh and exactly what we needed from the books adaptation
i'm happily giggling and kicking my feet i love themmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
