if only you knew how i loved eating outside away from the sick patients i saw every day

if only you knew how i wished for a friend to be there when the hospital discharged me

if only you knew how every stranger glances at my arms and the silence that follows

if only you knew how i feel consumed by this illness

i go between feeling motivated to go outside to not wanting to move at all. between wanting to eat nothing to wanting to eat everything. loving all of myself to hating everything about me. there is no in between.

I got my heart broken and I survived, I failed 3 courses in university and graduated, I got rejected in the very first job I applied for and got promoted yesterday, I went through hard times with my family but then two years later, we laughed our hearts out over lunch, The closest friends disappointed me several times but I made new friends and loved them with all my heart. I did it once, I can do it again.
