Greetings, I am Aki Hayakawa. I am a devil hunter from Public Safety.

– "Aki, have you been keeping an eye on your.. kids, at all? Or are Chainsaw and Power always like that?" Angel Devil gestured towards the screams and loud cackles behind himself and Aki.

Aki narrowed his eyes then let out a sigh, “You know they’ve always been like that, and they’re not my kids.” He reluctantly took out a packet of gum, which made Power and Denji immediately shut up.

– "Mm. Could've fooled me." Angel's eyes glossed over for a second, following the movement of the gum packet and then stopping on Denji and Power, who were heading over in a frenzy. Rascals.

He kept quiet, then looked back at Aki. "...What's it like, taking care of them?"

Aki blinked, not expecting the random question, "Taking care of them? Why the sudden inquiry?" He said as he raised an eyebrow.

"Well, you know. Whenever I see you guys, you're always the one in charge of them. Reprimanding, scolding.." Angel Devil threw his arms behind his head in a lazy manner, like this was all natural. "So I'm wondering. How does it feel to have them around?"

Aki rolled his eyes, “I’m only in charge of them because that’s my job, and if I’m not the one scolding them, who knows what they’ll do?” He sighed, “Having them around? It’s pretty annoying I guess, if I leave them alone for even 2 minutes they might burn the apartment down, but I guess there are some parts that aren’t that bad..”

Angel gave a curt nod and, in his face, there was an almost imperceptible upturn of his lips, barely there, then went back to normal. "I see. Sounds.. lively at the very least." He looked away, "Well, personally, you seem to be doing a good job with them."

Aki looked away, not expecting the compliment, “Oh, uh thanks,” He looked around where they stood, currently at the entrance of the Public Safety Building, “Why did you approach me though? Work is over, shouldn’t you be hurrying home by now?”

Angel let out a sigh, "I wish. I'm just stuck inside Public Safety when I'm not working." Opening the Public Safety Building's door, he stopped right before entering and turned back to look at Aki with a deadpan expression. "Either way... how could I leave you? We're partners, after all."

Aki raised an eyebrow, “Fair enough, I just assumed you would leave me the second the day is over,” he checked his watch, then crossed his arms. God, why are Power and Denji taking so long?

Noticing Aki's behavior, Angel Devil tilted his head. "What gives?" He glanced around to see if there was anyone coming, or anything similar, but it was pretty much empty. "Are you waiting for someone?"

Aki looked up, “Oh, yeah I’m waiting on Power and Denji, they have to stay behind so finish some leftover work I think, at least that’s what Makima-san told me.”

Angel's wings fluttered a bit. "Ah. Lucky us, then. Atleast we don't have to do any extra work. I lost any energy to do more today anyway.." He hummed, "Since we'll probably have to wait a lot, what about some ice cream?"

Aki’s gaze gets caught by the movement but he quickly shifted his focus, “Ice cream again? How many times have you had it this week already?” His phone buzzed in his pocket and he took it out to look at the notification. Power and Denji have to stay behind for even longer? What did they do?

"Not enough times, honestly." Subtly, Angel peeked over Aki's shoulder ; it seemed that Makima had sent him a message about Denji and Power. Angel Devil tilted his head in curiosity. "Huh. Did Power and Chainsaw get in trouble again?"

Aki put his phone back into his pocket, “I don’t know, it appears so,” he lets out a sigh, “She told me to wait until further updates, so I guess I have time to get ice cream with you..”

The two went out to get said sweet treats, walking side by side but not too close.

"That's more like it," Angel Devil sat down nearby as Aki payed, a cone of vanilla ice cream in hand, an arm draped across the bench he was sat at. "Hey, Aki. I was wondering.. Did Makima say anything about me in those messages? I'm not sure she'd want me to roam around unsupervised. Not that I actually need to be supervised, but.."

Aki raised an eyebrow before sitting on the bench next to Angel with his own ice cream in hand, "You? I'm not sure she mentioned anything.. I might have to check again," he said as he pulled out his phone and clicked into the messaging app.

In the messaging app, as Aki clicked in Makima's contact, it followed:

Makima: [Hello, Hayakawa. I apologize for the sudden interruption. It appears Denji and Power will have to stay within Public Safety's confines until the next day due to personal reasons.] sent

Makima: [In the meantime, please keep supervision of the Angel Devil. If necessary, take him to your residence. I'm sure you understand. Thank you.] sent

Angel sighed. "Well?"

Aki looked at the messages, reading them over and over as if not believing what they said, “What?” He softly muttered, and looked back at Angel, “Makima-san said, you need to be supervised by me and taken to my apartment if needed..”
