âI really appreciate you meetinâ up with me on such short notice.â Sydneyâs fingers still trailed over the intricate weave of a handmade beach blanket on display but her eyes cast back to settle upon Liliâs face. When she texted that morning she hadnât been sure what to expect. Lili no doubt had her hands full between the store and the rest of her social life. True to nature she didnât disappoint, though, and in no time at all theyâd found themselves aimlessly wandering through row upon row of market stalls. âItâs just--- itâs August, yâknow?â The one time of the year she absolutely dreaded the most. It meant reminders and memories of accidents sheâd give a limb to forget. âI woke up ten kinds of restless and needed to get out of the house before I burnt it to the ground. Besides,â That time the edge of her mouth twitched, indicating the promise of a smile. âI think Iâve been goinâ through Lili withdrawals on top of it all.â
