You get yourself back inside after hearing a message go off on your phone. While it's a new device, it's still not quite as organized as you'd like it to be, so you'll have to tidy it up later.

AR: It was... adequate.

AR: In the context of thirteen long-winded years, of listening to a grandfather clock tick, of watching the sky above roll by, it was, as ever, adequate.

AR: The haul, however, was most unusual. Tell me - have you ever heard of a game called SBURB?

AR: Or, for that matter, do you notice a little red dot in the sky?

You can't really shake that bad feeling thinking on it again. Hopefully it's not just your imagination running rampant.

Greed perked up as he swore he heard Wrath spit out her soda she was sipping after taking a bite of her snack. "How many times have I told you not to drink while talking?" The elder called out before hurrying over while Wrath was wiping off the bits and orange soda from the screen. "I didn't expect her to git that game all of a sudden though, bro. Do ya know what happens?" The Lizard Anti watched the other, eyes narrowing as he slowly shook his head. "If she doesn't do it right...well, this might just end up being our last chit chat." [WR]: I have heard of the game from plenty of sources to know this might be fun but also rather...dangerous.

[WR]: Though I haven't seen any red specks in the sky. Then again, would be kind of hard with how my sky is pretty much red as is for reasons.

Wrath frowned as she looked toward the window as she typed that. She was pretty sure their world was cut off unless the shadows latched on so she could traverse all thanks to Greed's very late Counterpart.

You're not sure whether or not it's a comfort that Wrath knows the game - and whether or not they can see the speck in the sky - but the idea of it being dangerous fills your mind with many, many thoughts.

WR: I have heard of the game from plenty of sources to know this might be fun but also rather...dangerous.

WR: Though I haven't seen any red specks in the sky. Then again, would be kind of hard with how my sky is pretty much red as is for reasons.

AG: Dangerous? Are we talking "cat that might nip your finger if you pet them wrong" dangerous or "you just stepped on the tail of a sixteen-headed red-bellied black snake and insulted its mother whilst holding a lit lighter doused in gasoline" dangerous?

You contemplate it further, and fidget quietly. Why would any game - ANY GAME - be listed as "dangerous"? If it's a virus, why would you consider placing it on your machine?

AG: Beyond that... it comes with a "Client" and "Server" copy. I'm assuming that would mean this is some kind of multi-player game. Like KOTOR.

AG: Has anybody else reached out to you with this kind of game?

You look up to the heavens above, to see that the world is almost the same as ever. You do notice a LOW-FLYING PLANE, which is quite unusual - usually, they fly over around six at night, not around four in the afternoon.

They also don't hang in the air that long.

Or have a little pink sliver next to them.

You have a bad feeling about this.

LEXI: Download Pesterchum: Mobile Edition! Only slightly worse than the desktop version!

Finally a good idea - you quickly get it down and onto your phone. At least now you have communication with the outside world... outside of your room, that is.

You probably ought to get back to Wrath.

Ignore bad feelings and take out the game ==>

Despite your better judgement - nay, your feelings - you ATTAIN a SERVER and CLIENT copy of SBURB, and CAPTCHALOGUE it to your SYLLADEX, discarding the glittery envelope in the process.

In a place far, far beyond our understanding...

... the cosmic dance reaches its zenith...

... and a tragedy is set in motion.

Open the glitter envelope ==>

You retrieve the gaudy envelope from your CAPTCHALOGUE. Out here, in the world, it cannot deal you any physical damage - the glitter simply blows away in the late-day breeze. You take a moment and reflect - thirteen years of your life have come and gone. Your ultimate reward is a solid-feeling lump in this envelope.

Well, that explains the heavy, lumpy feeling.

You receive an iPhone! There's no box... it looks a little second-hand... not even a cable. You can probably pick one up tomorrow. Still, it's a portable form of communication. You CAPTCHALOGUE it immediately.

There... seems to be something else, though. This feels a little... more quaint. Like a floppy disc, or a CD. You have... an incredibly bad feeling about this. Something about the green text, that green circle within... something feels...

Wrong.

LEXI: Stop this lollygagging and play flappy bird instead

Flappy what? You have no clue what the hell that is. Sounds dumb anyway. Everybody knows KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC is the hottest game right now. The servers might even be up now.

DING DING ALL ABOARD THE MESS TRAIN!

You leave just as soon as you enter. You can't stomach another second in the main house. SHE's always got more crap in there than you remember, and you don't have the strength to deal with it all the time.

Moving along, the only real book that's even remotely worthwhile is this... oddity standing out beside the pile.

The "SBURB for ASSHOLES" guide. It's the tidiest book of the lot - the rest have bizarre, rebellious names like the "THEORY OF PARALLEL RELATIVITY AND INTERCHRONOLOGICAL CONNECTIVITY". It's probably some book that inspires REBELLIOUS FEELINGS.

You swear the cables rearranged themselves as you CAPTCHALOGUE the guide.

You CAPTCHALOGUE it into your SYLLADEX - moments later realising it's COVERED IN GLITTER.

You now have GLITTER ALL OVER YOU.

This will take YEARS to remove.

This has been objectively the worst birthday ever, and you let your frustrations be known LOUDLY.

While you wish you COULD, it seems SHE has gotten away from you and your MENACING GLARE.

If you had COOL YELLOW EYES perhaps you could.

Alas. It seems for now, she has left a peace offering - an envelope, in the most eye-gauging yellow that she probably ordered in by some kind of deluxe air mail scheme so she wouldn't have to touch it.

It seems to be a PEACE OFFERING, but knowing her, it could be THIS WEEK'S ALLOWANCE.

Damn her lightning fast speed! She got away!

How could the rebellious spirit in her outmatch your cunning tenacity!

She's locked the door to her room. You won't be seeing her for another three months, maybe more.

That just leaves you in awful wirey hell for the next while.

Before the command is issued, MOM decides to ABSCOND early.

She's not really fond of human or social interaction.

That's why she's NOT EMPLOYED, in EDUCATION, or TRAINING… Otherwise known as a REBEL!
