[UPDATE] Project Success!

Really sorry for the late update on this!

If you didn't see our Twitter update, the message book and certificate from KAPS was delivered successfully the day before Taeil's birthday! (A huge thanks to Kou for dropping them off at Seven Seasons for us <3)

Here are a few pics of the project. The 2nd to last pic is the package KAPS sent the certificate in. It wasn't opened because it was too nicely sealed haha. They also said they added in pictures of their dogs, a nice touch! :)

[UPDATE] Donation to KAPS! (screen-shot)

Our goal of $500 USD has been met and we have just sent out the donations to KAPS!

Thank you sooo much to everyone who participated and helped us out! <3 We'll keep you all updated with everything else too. Message book will be sent out tomorrow to a fellow BBC in Korea, except since Seven Seasons posted their address for letters/gifts, she will hand deliver it to the agency instead of Taeil's family's restaurant. And as mentioned before, KAPS will also make a certificate of the donation and give Taeil a mention on Twitter.

[!!] Project deadline is tomorrow!

Hey guys, tomorrow is the deadline for our project so if you'd like to join by donating, go here: http://goo.gl/iPsmrk (Originally the deadline was 31st midnight KST but we'll make it PST so there's more time. We can be a day or two flexible if need be)

However, it most likely too late to send your donation to a Country Collector (we have already received Russia and Mexico's donations), but you can still donate with PayPal. We will be sending the donations to KAPS early next week.

[UPDATE] New Translations + Country Collectors + Goal Status

Hey guys! :D

We have more new translations of our project: Español português français *new* bahasa indonesia *new* русский *new*

As well as new Country Collectors for France and Russia ^^ Go HERE for their contact info and/or their own posts if you are interested in donating through them. We still have Indonesia, Mexico, Singapore, Malaysia, and Peru collecting for their countries too.

*If you are a fanbase interested in joining us, please feel free to contact us :) You can email us at [email protected]. Though, let us know if you send an email, sometimes it will end up in our spam folder and we don't see it right away.

Current Goal Status: $88.90/500 USD! These are just the confirmed donations, we add whatever the Country Collectors send to us at the end of August^^ Thank you very much to those who have donated so far!

Доброго времени суток, ВВС! Как и в прошлом году мы будем делать пожертвование от лица И Тэиля на его день рождения (24/09). В этом году организация, которую мы выбрали, - KAPS (Korea Animal Protection Society или корейское Сообщество по Защите Животных). http://www.koreananimals.net/

После этого мы сообщим Вам кредиты, куда нужно перевести пожертвование. [PROJET DE CHARITE] BBCs! Rejoignez le Projet d'Anniversaire de Taeil 2013!

Bonjour BBCs ! Comme l'année dernière, nous allons faire un don à une fondation pour les animaux en l'honneur de Taeil pour son anniversaire (24/09). Cet année, l'association pour les droits des animaux que nous avons choisi est KAPS (Korea Animal Protection Society).

COMMENT PARTICIPER: Remplissez CE formulaire, qui sera envoyé à notre adresse e-mail ([email protected]). Nous vous répondrons pour vous indiquer où envoyer votre don.

-Si vous n'avez pas paypal, vérifiez la page des collecteurs par pays pour voir si il y a un ou une BBC qui collecte les dons dans votre pays. Elle sera mise à jour quand d'autres pays seront confirmés. Vous devez quand même remplir le formulaire pour que nous aillons vos photos et vos messages. Choisissez l'option “Sending to my country’s donation collector." ("Envoyer au collecteur de mon pays")

MESSAGES : Vous pouvez écrire vos messages d'anniversaire pour Taeil dans n'importe quelle langue, mais faîtes attention à ce que ça ne soit pas trop long (un paragraphe maximum).

MONTAGE PHOTO : Nous allons faire un montage photo des BBCs qui ont fait un don, comme celui de l'année dernière. Vous pouvez tenir une pancarte, faire un dessin ou juste une photo de vous. Uploadez-le dans le formulaire ou envoyez-le par e-mail.

[UPDATE] Translations + Country Collectors

Hey BBCs~ Just updating for those who haven't seen, we have Spanish and Portuguese translations here: http://goo.gl/EnW81 If anyone would like to translate it into another language, let us know and it would be greatly appreciated.

On our Country Collector page, aside from the US, we have Indonesia, Mexico, Singapore, Malaysia, and Peru collecting donations for those without PayPal. More to be updated!

*Note: If you're donating through Malaysia's collector, you won't need to fill out the form since they will be giving you one already where can write your message etc. 

I also want to remind everyone that if you don't have PayPal and there is no one collecting in your country, you can still send concealed cash. You would just need to exchange the currency to USD at your local bank (there might be a fee so check with them first) and then send it to us by mail so we receive it before the deadline.

[PROYECTO DE CARIDAD] ¡BBC, Únanse al Proyecto de Cumpleaños de Taeil 2013!

¡Hola BBC! Al igual que el año pasado, haremos una donación a una fundación de animales en honor a Lee Taeil por su cumpleaños (21/9). Este año, decidimos que la Organización sobre los Derechos de los animales a la cual ayudaremos es KAPS (Korea Animal Protection Society).

COMO PARTICIPAR: Llena “ESTE” formulario que deberás enviar a nuestra dirección de e-mail ([email protected]). Nosotros responderemos el correo y te diremos a donde debes enviar tu donación.

- Si no tienes PayPal, por favor ve esta país recolector para verificar si hay BBC recolectando donaciones en tu país.  Esta página se irá actualizando cuando los países se vayan confirmando. De todas maneras, necesitas llenar el formulario para que podamos obtener tus fotos y mensajes. Elije la opción “Sending to my country’s donation collector.” ("Enviando al  colector de donación de mi país.")

[CHARITY PROJECT] BBCs! Join the 2013 Taeil Birthday Project!

Hello, BBCs! Just like last year, we will be donating to an animal charity in honor of Lee Taeil for his birthday (9/24). This year, the animal rights organization we all decided on is KAPS (Korea Animal Protection Society).

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Fill out THIS form, which will be sent to our e-mail ([email protected]). Then we will reply to you on where to send your donation.

-If you don't have PayPal, please check the Country Collectors page to see if there is a BBC collecting donations in your country. This will be updated when more countries are confirmed. You still need to fill out the form so we get your photos and messages. Choose the option "Sending to my country's donation collector."

MESSAGE BOOK: You may write your birthday message to Taeil in any language, but make sure it's not too long (A small paragraph at most).

PHOTO COLLAGE: We will make a photo collage of BBCs who donated, like this from last year.  You can hold a sign, make a drawing, or just have a picture of yourself. Upload it on the form or e-mail it later on.

*If you are unable to donate, but would still like to leave Taeil a message, fill out the form HERE.

How are we letting Taeil know about this project?

The message book will be sent to a friend in Korea who will then take it to Taeil's parents' restaurant ^^ We'll see if KAPS can give him a mention on twitter as well.

Sorry, my first comment disappeared, I said that I once read they are only rescuing the animals in LA and you can only adopt them if you are an LA resident (or something like that, I may be wrong)

Like I said, I think it’s great and all, but I think it would be much better to donate to an international charity to help animals all around the world! But every animal matters, even the ones in LA, so donating of your own funds is a great deed.

I’ve seen this charity before, and although I think it’s really great what they are doing, I once read they are only rescuing in Los Angeles and you can only adopt if you live in LA (or something like that, I might be wrong).

Oh I can still see your first comments. 

I'm sure that is the case since they are based in LA and they say they rescue animals off the streets and other neighborhoods. This a reason why we made the poll so we can see where everyone else thinks is best to donate to :) But yes, either way we would be helping animals somewhere.

So when voting, you guys can take into consideration that Hope for Paws is LA based and primarily focuses on animals in that area. KARA and KAPS focus on Korea and Sea Shepherd and IFAW are international.

For the donations I thought of Hope for Paws. It's a non-profit animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles, California. They rescue dogs and all other animals who are suffering on the streets and in the shelters. Their goal is to educate people on the importance of companion animals in our society. (I took the description on the website cause I'm really lame when it comes to description xD).

Taeil Birthday Project 2013!

Hello, BBCs!

If you remember, last year we gathered and successfully donated $1,133 USD to KARA (Korea Animal Rights Advocates) in honor of Taeil for his birthday. Thanks to all the BBCs who participated, we managed to help an injured dog who was in need of surgery. You can see anything related to last year's project here.

Now we've decided to do this project again and hope many BBCs will join again too. This time we've made a poll on different types of animal charities to choose from so we can decide together on where to donate.

Options:

Sea Shepherd - Based in the US, they are an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Their mission is to defend and protect ocean wildlife worldwide (from protecting coral reefs to stopping the dolphin slaughter in Japan).

KARA (Korea Animal Rights Advocates) - Based in Korea, they are a non-profit, no-kill organization. Their mission is to stop animal cruelty and educate the public about animal rights. They rescue and help animals in need (usually cats and dogs). We also donated to them last year.

KAPS (Korea Animal Protection Society) - Also based in Korea and similar to KARA; no-kill, non-profit, mission to end animal cruelty and raise awareness, and rescues and helps care for animals in need (usually cat and dogs).

IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) - A non-profit international organization, one of the largest conservation societies. They rescue and protect all animals from all over the world and hold campaigns to prevent animal cruelty.

*New* Hope for Paws - A non-profit animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles, California. They rescue dogs and all other animals who are suffering on the streets and in the shelters. Their goal is to educate people on the importance of companion animals in our society.

In the poll, there is also an option to add your own if you'd like another animal charity to be considered. We can also add it to the list above if you send us the name of it + short description. Make sure they take Paypal, though.
