[✉ → Lake Princess]: Because I get incredibly busy and I’m always traveling. Are you feeling ignored? That’s the last thing I mean to make you feel like... seems like I’m doing it to everyone these days.

[✉ → Lake Princess]: I just get so busy, and can’t find service most of the time, and then I’m sleeping because of jet lag. It’s kinda rough to keep up with myself, let alone texting.

[✉ → Lake Princess]: Sorry! I’ll be down there in just a minute. My mom caught me sneaking out of my room and now she’s lecturing me?

With no makeup, her hair a mess, and her feet propped up on the bed, she looked over. “Grey, you... you’re somethin’ else.” Maybe she couldn’t say anything because she was flustered, or maybe it was because she simply didn’t know how to respond. Her teeth gnawed at her bottom lip until she decided on a way to react, and she then proceeded to move to the male in the chair. Holland happily took her seat in his lap and pressed her forehead against his, “If you wrote that in one of your stories, that would be beautiful. Everyone deserves to be told that.” Patting his chest lightly, she just grinned, “I like you too, exactly as you are. You’re amazing and wordy -- all around brilliant.”

“I just want somebody I can have a decent conversation with over dinner.”

“You of all people know that guys our age are generally very immature and underdeveloped. How many times have you preached that?” Holland laid her head on Cassidy’s shoulder, then looked up to her, observing her face for a minute. “Keep trying, though. You’re going to find that one person, then there’s going to be a date where you two talk until the waitress has to kick you all out -- then you’re just going to talk more and more. You’re going to find someone that you can teach new things to, and they’ll teach you amazing things as well. Don’t give up just yet, alright? You’re young, you’re hot, you’re amazing. You’ve got many, many years before you should worry about this.” Poking the lady’s cheek, she laughed softly, “Until then, you always have me.”

“People always talk about how love is this totally unselfish, giving thing, but if you think about it, there’s nothing more selfish.”

More often than not, Holly would ignore the words from Wyatt, but when she heard the ones he just said,she had to look back to him.The words replayed in her mind, then she just gave a nod. “Wow, Wyatt. I totally agree with you. It’s taking someone for your own and never sharing them again. You take them from their families, their home, their lives, and you keep them to you and only you.” She had mixed feelings on the topic, but despite how selfish it might be, she wanted it. “Even more, think about parents! They bring you into the world, and then the rest is up in the air. They can love you or leave you, but they “loved” you enough to keep you and make you live in this world... it’s a weird and selfish concept.”

“I love you, but you don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Uhm,” Holly’s usually soft features quickly hardened, honestly taken aback from Joel’s statement. For a good moment she just blinked at him, trying to keep from acting irrationally to something that is easily just his opinion. “I love you too. However, I very much know what I’m talking about.” Quickly she reached up and pointed at the menu the two were sharing, looking up to him as she talked, “Steak quesadillas are much, much better than chicken and rice, okay? I will literally fight you on this.” She let out a little huff and shook her head, “It’s like you were raised in a barn -- how is chicken and rice better? Do you like queso? Do you like tortillas? Do you like fucking steak? Ugh. How are we friends?” Obviously she was completely teasing, because just a moment later she laughed and nudged the male lightly, “Yeah, you can get that, I’ll get you whatever you want, alright?”
