was born to good parents but they died when he was 7 and lore was sent to live with his aunt and uncle whilst his older siblings went to his grandparents ( a very odd predicament they were all too young to really question much )
he was born in taiwan, his parents lived and were raised there but his aunt and uncle had moved to korea for business ( and his grandparents were already in the business of travelling back and forth for their kids ) so when he moved with his aunt and uncle he moved to korea, and his grandparents followed so they weren’t all split up too much
long story short ; aunt and uncle were pretty severely mentally and physically abusive to lore. extremely controlling to in anything he did, so it led to him not going to school as much, making friends really ( or many ) or seeing his siblings properly. he was neglected a lot and sort of learned how to do things for himself through that as well
he was 16 when his oldest sibling got him out of it and took him in instead ( he doesn’t remember much of what happened but his aunt and uncle were arrested ). the whole thing really did mess with him though
basically he dropped out of school then too and he went to therapy for a year or two but it got too expensive, but it helped at least a little but he was still left with difficulty in most things social ( like going out much or actually talking to people and making friends tbh )
when he was around twenty his siblings convinced him to start streaming since he did spend a lot of time messing about with games and shit. but they convinced him to because well.. just talking to them and his grandparents wasn’t enough social interaction apparently
so he did and he built up a small but nice little following and people enjoyed his content and just listening to his play or ramble sometimes. he was a lot more comfortable talking to a chat than.. people
that being said, he did become friends with other streamers eventually and does a lot of multiplayer things with them - which is honestly what led to his intense fame explosion honestly
he ended up being invited to stream with a few very very known names in the gaming community and it just shot him up. people liked him and within weeks he’d gone from the smallest number of followers to a couple million and rising
his friends made him make a youtube as well and he already knew how to edit videos from his previous online jobs, so it was easy for him. so really he went from nothing to everything
he went from being basically broke ( any of his money, which was like nothing, went to his siblings to help them out for letting him crash at theirs and do nothing tbh ) to having enough to give full amounts to them and actually take care of himself and his mental health tbh finally. he didn’t have to worry about finance for once
so with that tho boi still refuses to do a face reveal and just brushes over it when it’s asked bcos n o
but either way, the money problem was solved but his siblings didn’t really feel like the social situation was and sorta maybe pushed him into taking a room in the sharehouse bcos well it would be good for him and well here he is now. fucking terrified
personality:

lore is a very soft muse despite how he can come off ( which by that i mean he comes off as distant, maybe a little aloof and intimidating - this based on the fact he is very much a gothic / punk kid covered in tattoos and piercings who isn’t really use to social interaction or the best at it )
so he’s real soft though, and just really sweet. like he has a very pure heart.. his sense of humour is dark and he can be a piece of shit sometimes, but he has a very sweet soul. like he’s awkward as hell sometimes and tbh he’ll go from looking intimidating to fumbling horribly over trying to say hello to someone and then scoot off bcos fuckin words man
that being said he does have a lot of baggage and a lot to work through that he’s finally getting help for, so it’s another reason he can come off pretty closed off sometimes, especially because like.. his social limit when it hits zero just means he’ll either slink out quietly or curl up and watch everyone and listen instead of taking part in conversation
his anxiety has sort of ruled his life as well, it’s led to him finding social situations really difficult ( like if a conversation goes differently to how he thought it would he !!! panics a bit for a minute ), and he’s working through that now and the complex is sort of a trial for him on that too.. but he gets by
that being said, kinda stated it a little but he can be dark and he’s pretty pessimistic because he finds it hard to look on the bright side of things, so he’d rather joke about it. it’s just hard for him to see the good in somethings and not fear the future either
on stream / youtube he does come off more confident though and more comfortable. like he gets jittery when playing with new people or big groups, but it’s a lot easier for him and he has fun with them. like his streams usually last a long time so it’s just such a change from how he can come off in real life ( which frustrated him a little because he wishes he could be that comfortable all the time )

he keeps his room pretty much locked all the time bcos well privacy and his streaming and stuff he kinda keeps the set up completely hidden when he can but he has excuses if he needs them
boi got bad insomnia which he combats poorly already but either way just expect to see him slink into the kitchen at like 2am to make coffee then disappear again ( which tbh if he’s streaming he might honestly leave with coffee and an energy drink because he’s a mess ). but like early morning he can nearly always be found in the kitchen at some point bcos well quiet time - which through that, you probably won’t see him again until the afternoon tbh.. maybe

pretty normal upbringing and no one would know about his family’s situation bcos his parents were doctors through the day, like it’s a cover up but his parents also had a thing where they wanted to save lives, to make up for the ones that they took ( so hey, might be criminals but they were good people too ), but his parents were the first co-leaders of the blackjacks
at the end of elementary he was moved up a grade bcos basically he’s a smart ass kid like an actual genius and he learns things way quicker than anyone else ( by age 11 he knew 3 languages fluently and could take apart a computer, modify it and put it back together )
but yea, grew up popular but he was pretty passive and neutral and stuff too, but yea he made friends easily and assumed natural leader like roles in friend groups
joins the gang at 15 and becomes one of the hackers there, and he is one of the best anyway
at 19 is when he first kills someone though and it isn’t the last time, but he finds someone that used to deal for their gang trying to leak information and he kills them before they can do anything
after that his parents start training him more in combat and other skills and he doesn’t realise that they’re actually training him in leadership, and at 21 they hand over leadership to sori finally
and he becomes a psychology professor at 22 to keep up the façade like his parents, but at the same time he loves teaching and helping the kids out, like he does genuinely care and what to help them out?? and he’s a really good professor as well tbh
either way, his life just kinda continues like that anyway but he’s given the label “the ace” from his gang, and it’s the first time since the gang’s first leader someone has officially gotten that name bcos it basically means that he’s possibly the best leader the gang has ever had, so if that tells you anything then yea.. and again, please read the gang page bcos i can’t summarise the mechanics of it and what they are
a couple extras are just that the gang is based in one of seoul’s biggest clubs and gambling halls, but no one actually knows that? like no one suspects it bcos it’s in such plain sight. it’s 24/7 tho bcos it’s a gambling hall too so it’s just the perfect place. but that is where you can find sori sometimes, and if you do he’ll probably just tell you that he’s keeping an eye on his twin brothers or meeting up with friends, but that is where his office is based and the main gang things go on, but it’s mostly underground and stuff ( it’s vvv well hidden tho )
it’s possible for your muse to know his secret but it needs to be plotted - also your muse can be apart of his gang if you want just hmu ( like he gives people jobs if they need them and he’s good about gang stuff and keeping it away from people’s personal lives. like he can give protection to those that need it, he’s good )
and yes, there will probably be some triggering themes with him and they will all be tagged, but the gang adds a dark aspect to him
in terms of personality he just kinda comes off as this neutral, passive but easily amused kind of guy. like he’s vvv snarky and sarcastic sometimes but it a good way, and he teases a lot, but as a professor he’s one of those ones that kids love to have even if he can be hard on them to. overall, i’m still working out his personality as i go tho but he’s vvvv good at lying and tricking people but only bcos he has to and he doesn’t really do much unless necessary bcos his like personality outside the gang ain’t a lie? but ye so here
also he has 2 huskies who are exceptionally trained as guard dogs and his babies ksjdfs

he had fun there too whilst taking his studies seriously, like he was pretty well known and popular tbh and the top of his class a lot of the time. a lot of people expected him to be a dick as well bcos of his quirk ( esp bcos he has to pop it off sometimes to clear the sweat otherwise like.. dangerous, so he has a doctors note for that good shit, so sometimes just lil popping explosions ) but he’s actually like a nice dude. a good bud that would helpe where he could but was also serious about making it to the top and becoming a strong pro. hence why he picks cutthroat agency
that being said he also drew a lot of unwanted attention to himself through sports festivals and general hero work and well by the time he graduated, and was pretty fresh off the bat at around 20, he was kidnapped during his first major mission as an official sidekick and sold by villains to an illegal trafficking / fighting ring/pit run by other villains
you can probably guess where this is going, but it was brutal there. he’s killed countless and couldn’t put a name to a face even if he tried. he’d be faced with people that wanted to kill him or just survive like him and the crowd would cheer and bet. or he’d be faced with those too young and too weak and scared. he killed them all, having to be brutal against the stronger ones and the weaker ones he tended to do it quickly by snapping their neck of strangling them
they’d beat him a lot too for showing mercy and over all just be worse to him bcos he was a hero
they fought with and without quirks and usually with quirks led o him being drugged with quirk enhancers, and without he was hit with ones limiting them.. so his quirk is pretty fucked up now and it was to the point it was starting to burn him and his skin off around his hands in parts
but uh yea cue over 5 years of that plus being moved around location to location ever few months or weeks, plus lack of food, water and just proper anything and that’s what he went through
heroes eventually crashed the ring and saved as many as they could ( a lot still died, some killed themselves when they got to safety as well ). it took a few days before they realise who sinjae was when he eventually spoke to someone that he recognised bcos he refused to let any of the nurses or doctors or pros near him he didn’t know ( like he was very feral on instinct out of fear ). they all pretty much assumed that sinjae had died though at some point or another considering how long it had been and the case went cold
recovery is a lot, like he’s still going through it obvs and he’s dealing with like a lot still, but he was in a group home for a while with others from the pit but in recent weeks he’s been allowed out to live with a pro he trusts with the confirmation that he’ll continue going to appointments and check ups and stuff
either way, it’s been around a year now since he was rescued and he’s doing better than he initially was, but at the same time he’s still not. like sometimes the old him sorta comes out, but he’s also changed a lot and there’s a lot to unpack there. like his flight or fight instinct is a lot to handle now depending on how good or bad a day he’s having
he does work at the red bean now tho, which tbh he’s only been there for like a week or so since they had to make sure he was gonna be okay but he works part time and only day shifts when there’s a good few people on with him ( workers there will be aware of it all or enough )
also as a general sorta note, he p much hates his quirk now too bcos of 1. the pain is causes him. 2. the noise it makes ( like that freaks him out now ). 3. reminds him how easy it was to kill people with it. 4. he has lost a pretty decent chunk of control over it -- before he used to be able to not link it to his emotions, but now it’s like he thinks one thing and suddenly sparks are popping. because of that and in general how he looks ( he’s heavily scarred as you can imagine ), people that don’t know him sort of assume he’s violent or using his quirk to intimidate. he isn’t
which on that note he comes to u.y at least a couple times a week for private quirk training bcos of all the shit with his quirk and how his control is fucked and his fear and shit. but in general he feels safer at u.y since he knows the staff, it’s a pretty safe location in general and just he knows that there are enough people there to help and stuff
but uh yea.. he’s getting there tho? he’s doing his best but it’s a lot and it’s not good or easy

seo jaejin is currently twenty-five years old. he has one younger brother and four younger sisters. he’s the eldest by quite a bit; the youngest is eight years younger than him.
his parents own a chicken shop. his father is in a wheelchair, so it’s mostly his mother who was the family breadwinner.
jaejin has always had a certain level of charisma about him that is almost supernatural. it’s in all the little things he does; he’ll make eye contact when he speaks to you, he’ll have a serene smile on his face, and he’ll have this sparkle in his eye. it’s been that way since he was a kid.
as a child and teen, he was always extremely sweet, kind, and polite. that charisma was well-earned and well-used back then.
he grew up very poor, but extremely hard-working. at age eight, he decided to help out his family and took on part-time modeling. at age ten, he dropped out of school to take on modeling full-time. at age twelve, he became a trainee.
during his trainee years, he learned just how cutthroat the industry is; he stepped on a lot of toes and very likely ruined a lot of careers in order to even get the chance to debut. it was during this time that he learned just how important it was to bury any good part of him and hide any weakness. the caring, compassionate person he was became locked up and hidden away behind a twisted and calculating man.
after debuting at twenty, jaejin’s family found out about everything he’s ever done and all but disowned him. his family has always been his main priority in his life; it’s the only reason he wanted to be rich, is so that he could provide support for them.
this made him furious. he continues to work harder and harder in an effort to win them back, but he’s got it all wrong; they don’t want more money or more fame, they just want their kindhearted and gentle son back.
he’s not an amazing leader, but he’s also definitely not bad at all. he’s very organized and has a calm, confident, commanding presence about him. the number one thing that would make him better is that right now, he doesn’t see the group as a brotherhood sort of thing. he sees them more as his work friends. (this is definitely up to change! :D)
personality-wise, jaejin isn’t outwardly hostile or rude. in fact, he’ll treat you like you’ve been friends for years. he’s very easygoing and friendly and can unintentionally charm the pants off anyone. he doesn’t plan it. he’s not even being fake about it; he genuinely does care about some people (keyword: some). but in most cases, he cares about you only until you get in his way. at that point, you’re just an obstacle keeping him from making his family proud of him again.

Hyeon was a very bright student. He’s currently twenty-seven and wanted desperately to be a lawyer, but currently, he is the head of operations at Seoul Downtown Metropolitan Library (which is totally made up) and has been for the past four years.
He is a very generous man and sociable whenever he needs to be; however, he is an extreme workaholic. He’ll be very friendly and kind, but likely won’t form an attachment with you unless you’re the one who tries first. He thinks that his time back in Korea is a pit stop to his final goal.
One of those guys who would be popular if he just went out more, since he’s got looks and a great personality, but is simply too busy.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Seattle University and one year of grad school under his belt from Seattle University School of Law.
He had just been accepted to Stanford Law School and was about to transfer when he received a call from back home, learning that his mother was sick and could no longer run the library.
So, he left Stanford and returned to Seoul to take over his mother’s job— just for a year, he was assured— since he has five younger siblings and his father is unable to support the family.
That was when he was twenty-three; he’s been working at a job he hasn’t wanted for four years now, and he’s starting to lose hope despite always thinking that his time as a librarian was a detour and not the end destination.
He’s only waiting now for his sister to graduate college; once she does, he hopes to return to the states and finish up his degree. However, things are starting to look more and more hopeless.

he was born april 14, 1991. age 27. he’s the eldest of six.
growing up, he was the classic big brother figure; loyal, protective, and honestly he had to grow up way too fast because his parents, while good people, didn’t realize they couldn’t support all the kids they wanted.
so anyway he’d always help out around the house, put the younger ones to bed, etc. pretty much as soon as he was able to walk.
jinkyu was a very sweet, very kind boy. he was a bit quiet, but flawlessly polite. he got known in his small neighborhood as someone you could call on.

following his acceptance into bc, he became really messed up. he did everything it took to debut, from lying to slander. he’s a really clever guy, too, so he never got caught. over time, he morphed from the kindly kid that he used to be into someone who didn’t care what it took to get where he needed to go. he’s very much of the “some win/some lose” mindset.
he’s only in this for the money. he’s only trying to help his family through. buuuuuut......
his family found out about all the shit he did when he was a trainee to get to the top and they’ve all but disowned him. as a result he’s very bitter. he simply wants to get back into their good graces, but he’s going about it all wrong; he thinks that more money, more fame is what they want from him, but really they just want back the young boy who couldn’t hurt a soul in this world.
anyway so that’s him now; he’s very twisted, very calculating.
the thing is, he’s extremely charismatic; he’ll look you in the eye when he talks to you, laugh at all your jokes, make you feel like you’re his best friend. and he’s not even faking it; but at the end of the day, when push comes to shove, he’ll probably step on you if he thinks you’re in his way.
everything about him is 100% real; he’s very honest. if you ask him straight up if he cares about you, he’ll probably say no, because chances are he doesn’t. he doesn’t even bother putting up a front in front of the cameras, which has landed him in some hot water, but really he doesn’t bother hiding how fucked up he is right now (of course, the things he did in his trainee days are a different story). he’s charismatic on the surface, but usually people don’t bother digging deeper to see how messed up he is.
