You need great physical performers if that level of yearning’s so essential to the storyline, and BounPrem deliver. The gravity pulling their characters together might be invisible—no previous lives that they must karmically amend—but the force is undeniable.

I read somewhere that in romantic love, you turn away from the rest of the world. We realize there is a world inside of one person that we could spend a century mapping without managing to capture even a single shore. The full measure of how little we know about a single person’s inner life and personal history, let alone the rest of the world, stretches out before us like an ocean.

Between Us has elements that disrupt one’s full immersion into its thematic depths, and not everyone’s acting at the same level of Boun and Prem. Still, the central theme is so intriguing with a sex-first relationship development that feels modern, especially in P’New’s oeuvre. In the moments the full potential surfaces on screen, Between Us and its private desires are indescribably sublime.

Happily Ever After?

I've been challenged to list the couples I feel would have the most longevity. I've been tagged by @my-rose-tinted-glasses @hughungrybear @obsessedferalgremlin and @thisautistic

I'm also going to exclude high school kids. I was going to do a long list but I think I'm just going to do 10 and if I get tagged again I'll do a second post with the rest of the ones on the list in my drafts.

Prapai x Sky from Love in the Air. GASP! I know! I think PaiSky are so fucking stable. And they both put in THE WORK to be together. I do think they balance each other well. I think they understand what the other wants and what they need from each other and now that Sky knows he can fully trust Pai their communication lines are open.

Ram x King from My Engineer. Even though we never actually saw them get lift off I do believe that they would be together for a lifelong time. They understood each other so well and confided in each other. They trusted each other with their fears. And even though they're made to look like opposites they're both quite similar.

Kim Jong Chan x Wu Seung Hyun from The New Employee. These men challenge each other and grow together. They're both very blunt and recognize their own weaknesses and learn from them together. They're both mature enough to talk to each other about what's wrong. And they are just so soft together. Jong Chan keeps Seung Hyun grounded and Seung Hyun brings out Jong Chan's soft and playful side.

Shin Ki Tae x Lee Wan from Our Dating Sim. LET'S GO SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE. They were absolutely MISERABLE without each other. Ki Tae even developed some abandonment trauma. I don't think they would be able to function without each other. They are both so at ease together and I think they're at their happiest in each other's presence.

Cirrus x Phukan from The Boy Next World. Stalking aside, Cir and Phu are meant to be together. And even if they weren't literal soulmates I do think that they belong together. They're two lonely men who feel like family when they're together. Phu is the calmness and sweetness and Cir is the protector and provider. And they just want to make each other happy and take care of each other. No one gets them like they do.

Yang x Phumjai from Love in Translation. These two small business partners would definitely be in for the long ride. They're the classic yin and yang. They pull what they need from each other in a way that completes them. Yang is everything Phumjai is not and vice-versa. Phumjai is Yang's sunshine. Yang is Phumjai's rock. I think they reach their full potential as a unit, privately and professionally.

Togawa x Nozue from Old Fashion Cupcake. Well Nozue isn't getting any younger...and Togawa fancies that old man. Jkjkjk, No forreal Togawa possesses a level of maturity that Nozue SHOULD have because he's older. Togawa has always seen his future with Nozue. And Nozue thinks Togawa is perfect. I do like that Togawa pushes Nozue out of his shell and with Togawa Nozue sees a future worth striving for. I think that together they would have endless new experiences that would last their lifetimes.

Win x Team from UWMA/Between Us. They need each other. And I really could leave it at that lol. Team finds complete comfort and security with Win, no one else makes him feel more at ease. Team is the ONE thing Win feels like he can have completely to himself. Win spent his whole life feeling overlooked and forced to be the family mediator but with Team he's allowed to be unsure and let his guard down and be taken care of even though he prefers to take care of Team. I think together they create the warmest, safest, and coziest bubble around them and the only way it would pop is if they broke up.

Thada x Armin from RESET. Their lives literally reset for them to be together and they're thankful for it. They saved each other. Thada became the man he is because Armin showed him care when no one else would. Armin was able to achieve everything he ever wanted because Thada was there to support him. They trust each other wholeheartedly. They love each other unconditionally. They appreciate each other. And they have given their full selves to each other. They are basically one living and breathing entity, you can't separate them. People have tried and failed.

Johan x North from Fourever You. I don't think Johan would allow North to ever leave him lol. But anyways, Johan waited ever so patiently for his time to come with North. He knew North was his forever person. North is the only one he wants to have his heart and keep it forever. I love that we got to see North gradually acknowledge his feelings for Johan and came to his own decision to love him. He knows that no one will ever take better care of him than Johan. And North wants to be the perfect partner for Johan. He's the only one Johan listens to anyway. And Johan wants to give North the world and the only thing North wants is Johan. They're honestly perfect together.
