@genrosen
Of all the roommates she could have possibly been placed with, the fates found it appropriate to put her with Genevieve Rosen. The two of them had less in common than anyone on this trip, probably - save only that they both were close with the same people. But beyond common friendships, there was nothing. If anything, she found the girl annoying. She seemed like the type to believe in faith, trust, and pixie dust; Valencia could vomit just thinking about it. But this was the hand she was dealt, and in true Valencia fashion, she would probably complain about it the entire stay.
The fact of the matter was, as hesitant as Val was to say so, Gen was not the worst person she could have been stuck with. But 'not the worst' was still a far cry from 'the best,' or even 'acceptable.' If there was any light at the end of this tunnel, it was the fact that she seemed timid enough, and eager enough to be accepted in Valencia's group of friends, that she was trainable. The girl had potential, and though Val envisioned having a little fun with her, she would be open to giving her a chance to prove herself and eventually gain Valencia's approval.
But until then, nothing was off-limits. As soon as they walked into the room, Val laid down the ground rules.
"I call the bed by the window. I take my showers at 7 am. I will read until midnight, probably, so I would get used to the light being on. Also, if you bring over any company to stay the night in this room, you may wake up to find your clothes scattered on the street. Do we have an understanding?"

If Valencia did not make one geek stop on all of her trips, then she would be disappointed in herself; after all, she did have a reputation to maintain. The only problem was, friends? Well, in this group, they were in short supply. At least Genevieve was on the short list of people that would not be considered friends, but who also were not enemies. And if she shared in some of Val's nerdy tendencies even better.
When she was finished getting ready, she made her way to Gen's room, knocking on the door in an obnoxious manner. "I said twenty minutes, lets get out of here."
