Tei has been absently flipping his kunai as he waits and the repetitive motions halts to a stop once he realises Shikamaru is speaking to him. A slightly bemused smile uncurls across his face, unsure as to why he’s suddenly asked to report such a thing, but this is the first time he’s working with the Nara prodigy and he doesn’t tend to question orders.
“Of course, Nara-san.” The smile skews wider and his eyes crinkle into half-moons. “Won’t you be feeling murderous soon as well?”
