The date, 30th of April was still early in their promotions, but both groups already receiving the Special MC moment was a huge deal in itself.

Especially for Y/n since she only recently debuted.

Seonghyeon was an MC for the same music show almost a year ago for their debut too so he understood what she might've been feeling.

Was it safe to say that he felt less nervous than before?

No.

Each of them was in their respective waiting rooms getting their hair and makeup done.

Y/n seemed to be lost in thought since this would be her first time becoming the MC after a very long time.

She was also nervous due to the fact that everything would be live to everyone online and so there was absolutely no space for any mistakes.

Seonghyeon wasn't that nervous about the interviews since he got better at reading scripts.

He was only nervous about one thing and it was her presence.

This would be the first time both of them would be so interactive and close to each other.

At one point, the hairstylist asked her-

"Are you that nervous?"

Y/n couldn't help but notice her state right now. She was brushing her nails against each other, her right leg kept bouncing and she looked lost from her facial expressions.

"Oh, just a little…" She nodded and tried to calm down a bit, realising how obvious her body language looked to the other person, even though she did not want to display her jittery mood at all.

Her hairstylist comforted her by saying that it's normal for many idols when they first film in a setting like this, and so it was alright for her to feel that way.

Y/n thanked her and scrolled through her script again. Memorising her lines in her head like she was about to give the most crucial oral exam of her life.

She chuckled at some of the lines but if it was for the content then she might as well go for it.

Seonghyeon on the other hand was told to calm down by his members for getting too excited.

"She is not going on a date with you, you guys just have to follow the concept. Remember!"

Keonho scoffed as his voice fluctuated. It from the impact of the wind blowing on his face from his portable fan.

"This is the best day of my life." Seonghyeon smiled to himself like an idiot.

"You literally said no to this yourself." Martin had rolled his eyes, maybe he should have given Juhoon's name instead—He thought.

"Hyung, you also say something!" Keonho approached James.

James who was going through the different snacks laid on the table nods his head.

"Uhh yeah I agree."

Keonho sighed.

Juhoon who was back to normal now was playing video games on the couch because he did not care one bit.

He was a child model before, he can always go back to modelling if Seonghyeon ends up getting the group boycotted.

Seonghyeon had already memorised every single syllable that he had to say out loud in front of the cameras.

Even her lines, which were unnecessary but he enjoyed the feeling of having her converse with him on the cameras so casually.

"Eom Seonghyeon, Ready in 5!" The crew member alerted in the Cortis waiting room.

Seonghyeon stretched his fingers and cracked his knuckled, letting out a small whisper-

"You can do this Y/n" He says her name instead of his own.

The members were already tired by him.

"He looks like he is gonna go on a battle but as a viewer because his wife is fighting the army." Martin stood behind Keonho near the table where both the youngest and oldest member were stuffing their mouths with some turtle chips.

"Pursuit of Jade reference?" James's inner Chinese came out as he connected the plots.

"More like Pursuit of Y/n" Juhoon quietly remarked.

"YOU GOT THIS Y/N BABY" Seora shook her teammate's shoulder in enthusiasm.

"You're gonna break her, stop." Nara separated Seora away from Y/n.

"Y/n, you are gonna rock this but just ignore the fact that Seonghyeon will be there." Eunji says trying to hype her.

"Ignore him when he will be right beside me?"

Y/n closed her eyes and chuckled at her team's effort to cheer her up.

"You are making this worse Eunji." Juyeon pushed her aside and stood in front of Y/n.

"You got the script?"

"I learned everything." Y/n nodded.

"Adlibs?"

"That is done too." Y/n nods.

"Timing?"

"I did some practise 10 minutes ago with our manager." Y/n confirms.

"Then you will be fine." Juyeon patted Y/n's back, giving her a soft smile.

"You also look really good right now in that outfit." Nara compliments her to get her confidence up.

"Thank you..." Y/n replied shyly because she was literally just dressed in a dark green suit that looked like a traffic instructer with the random accessories.

Aesthetically of course.

"What about a group hug?" Eunji suggested. They all huddle up in no time around Y/n, trapping her from all directions.

Y/n obviously being squished couldn't stop smiling because her team was so supportive of her.

Even though sometimes she felt like she was a big burden to her group because of her history, she appreciated their efforts to make her comfortable.

This love that she got from her team was irreplaceable. Even the staff members helped her a lot during the tough times.

Seora shouted. "Y/N HWAITING!" Everybody burst out laughing, and it definitely took some nervousness out from Y/n.

"Y/n, Ready in 5!"

Seonghyeon and Y/n stood besides each other with mics and a red card and green card in their hands. Both of them in the traffic light concept.

Yes, it was the staff's idea but it went good with their songs so it was fine.

Probably.

Seonghyeon was dressed in a suit but his colour was red but leaning towards maroon

(just outfit pics if your interested or just use your imagination, thats fine too.)

The fans were already going crazy behind the camera set up, it was only the moment of time when the live begins.

The staff gave a queue to stand by, both of them getting in character.

The ticking sound started and predicted to go on air in 10 seconds.

The scene was scary, but she remembered to exaggerate her expressions and words and just stick to the script now.

"QUEUE!"

Y/n starts away by following the script from the beginning.

"Seonghyeon-shi! I have problem..." Y/n sighs.

Seonghyeon looks towards her. "What problem Y/n-shi?" He asks.

"There has been so much traffic lately~"

"Really? How so?" Seonghyeon's head tilted. His arms are crossed but one of them raised to speak into his microphone.

"So many great groups are having a comeback all at the same time, the fans are crowding like crazy! Right?" Y/n exaggerated. The fans cheer from behind at the mention of themselves.

The staff loved it.

"Hmm.. It is indeed a serious problem" He acts like he is thinking.

"Where are the other MCs, are they late in traffic too?" Y/n tried to look for them with her hands over her eyes, like she could spot them clearly.

"They sat this one at home, they knew traffic was coming."

Seonghyeon jokes as it was written in the script.

She made a disappointed expression.

"Maybe... We should work on it together!" Seonghyeon suggests.

Y/n nods and smiles towards the camera.

"That is why we are here to test what's green—"

Y/n leaves her sentence incompleted as she raises her solid green photocard.

"—And what's red!" Seonghyeon raises his solid red card after a beat she introduced hers. Fans yelled again at the cute chemistry.

"Hello Everyone! I am the Traffic Student and Special MC for today, Lee Y/n—"

"—and Eom Seonghyeon."

After the brief introduction and a small silence, Y/n continued.

"In this heavy traffic, who is competing for first place today? Could you reveal them Seonghyeon-shi?" Y/n looks at the camera while asking.

"Certainly." He replied.

"On this week of Mnet MCD, you can find these awesome groups up for competition to place number one—"

"—Illit - Its Me!" Seonghyeon announces.

Fans cheered while in the meantime Seonghyeon prepares to announce the next group.

"—Cortis - REDRED!" He announced enthusiastically while hyping the crowd with his hands. The cheers were louder.

Y/n let out a soft giggle at the unscripted action but quickly recovered to complete the part.

"And even the new charting debut group! Hxt+Line - Dazed!"

Some fans cheered but not so much since they were yet to be familiar with the group.

Seonghyeon, noticing this motioned the audience to be louder and following his command the fans's voices became louder.

Y/n was surprised.

Seonghyeon got a bit nervous in this part but he managed and Y/n was internally glad for both him and herself.

"You can vote for your winner on the MCountdown LIVE Voting Page by texting in the number given below." He points below where an edited box will appear on screen.

She points her finger downwards to an imaginary textbox along with Seonghyeon even though she wasn't aware of anything as such.

"You will soon see awesome stages and interviews shortly..."

"Please don't miss out!" They both say in syncronisation while pointing at the camera.

'CUT!" The staff announced. Both of their shoulders slumped a bit.

Since they had to shoot all the interviews at a single go, next up they were going to interview Illit.

The crew told both the idols that they did well, especially Y/n since it was her first and she did not look nervous at all for it being her debut as an Idol MC.

Seonghyeon nods to their words, admitting the compliments towards her.

When the cameras were off, both of them were silent with each other. Seonghyeon seemed nervous too but better than the last time.

"Y/n-nim! How are you so good at MCing?" A coer asked from the audience as they were curious about her.

"She is a veteran in entertainment."

Seonghyeon says his thoughts out loud unknowingly, he gulped after he lets those words out.

Fans thought he answered because he got jealous that one of his fans was complimenting another idol.

In reality, he just wanted to compliment her.

Y/n chuckles looking away. Turning her head back, she bowed to the fan and thanked them. Her ears were getting a bit red like his outfit.

"Seonghyeon sunbaenim is really good too." She gives a thumbs-up.

Some fans laughed at Seonghyeon because of his expression to being called Senior by someone who had more experience than him in the industry.

His eyes were closed and his lips pursed.

He later bowed to Y/n shortly, thanking her in return but saying–

"Not as good as you." He shook his head.

Y/n covers her mouth with her hands as she smiles because she was scared it would be too obvious that she blushed."

Some fans teased Seonghyeon by making sounds like 'OooOoO~"

Seonghyeon shook his head to them, showing how it was nothing like that but deep inside, he meant it exactly like that.

They just spent time like that while some performances were going on.

Y/n looked the big screen displaying the performances in live time and was impressed.

Seonghyeon looked at his script once again.

Then when the last performance before the first interview came up, Y/n got her guard up.

"Illit is arriving!" The staff member declared, and so Seonghyeon and Y/n adjusted back to their spots.

The two of them spotted the 4 illit members behind the camera and understood that it was time to go live.

They reached the centre, a bit ahead towards the camera.

They waited for the group's performance, which was currently airing, to finish so they could begin right away.

When the ending fairy got over, the interview music started playing behind.

The producer gave the Queue sign and then Seonghyeon started to look busy and focused on some other direction.

Y/n also minded her own business, acting like they did not have any work to do yet.

"It's a really wonderful day today." Y/n says.

"Right.I agree." Seonghyeon nodded looking elsewhere.

Wonhee comes in the frame, acting like she drove past the MCs.

Y/n's eyes followed Wonhee. She called out to Seonghyeon.

"Seonghyeon-shi, look! Someone is breaking traffic rules-!" Y/n spoke in a very particular broadcasting tone.

Seonghyeon blows onto a whistle that was on his neck the entire time.

Wonhee pauses right beside Y/n and actually flinched.

"Why did you stop me?" Wonhee asked with confusion, her hands still on an imaginary stirring wheel.

"You were driving in a certain way that is illegal. Here is a red card." Seonghyeon tells her and hands her a red card.

Wonhee acts scared whi. "Why? What did I do to get a red card?"

"Do you want to know?" Y/n asked.

"Yeah!"

"Really?"

"Of course.."

"Don't be surprised when you find out."

"I won't I am the real Oppa, I can take any challenge." She smirked. The fans screamed.

Y/n smiled out of amusement and finally says.

"You were illegaly driving your fans crazy~" Y/n said in a more sweet tone although she had cringed in the waiting room going over this very line.

Wonhee chuckles and then reads the prompter that told her what to do next.

She gasps and looks at both the MCs.

She flipped her hair first and then asked.

"So then, what do I do to get rid of this red card?"

Y/n replied. "If you bring in your members and win a game then you can win my green card!" She shows off the green card that radiated positivity.

"Luckily I brought my members with me!" She looks at the camera and then calls out to the other Illit members.

G-llits from the audience section and other people cheered as Illit entered.

Y/n and Seonghyeon seperate and stand on either side of the group.

Yunah grabs a mic and starts the introduction, followed by her members individually introducing themselves.

"Hello! We are Illit!"

After the self introduction, All the members waved towards their fans.

"Wahh, Illit-sunbaenim is finally here!" Y/ n starts the conversation.

"Since Wonhee-sunbaenim recieved a red card we, the special MCs will tell you a topic to pose on as a group. You all have to match your poses." Seonghyeon explained while looking at the group from the far left.

"If you all can get 3 right then Wonhee-sunbaenim's red card will be nullified by REDRED" Y/n says.

'Who is REDRED?" Wonhee asked, acting confused by the last name.

"It's Me~" Seeonghyeon pointed to himself like Illit in their song.

The girls. including Y/n giggled at him because of how nervous he looked while doing it.

"Right, your outfit really shows." Minju nods her head in approval avoiding eye contact.

"Is everyone ready?" Y/n looks at the group for a split second before saying the first topic.

"Okay then, first topic is Floundering fish!" Y/n says referencing one of the lyrics in their latest song.

"How would you pose to that? Lets see..."

All the Illit members get ready. After a mixed countdown by both MCs, the members did the pose.

All 4 of them did the same move by making a cone-shaped gesture with their fingers and moving it up and down leaving the thumb still. Like those shadow puppets.

The fans all made some noise as they see how Illit wins the first round.

"Woah, that's a pass!" Seonghyeon admits.

"Second topic..."

"Bias!" Seonghyeon says.

All the Illit members pointed to themselves after hearing that.

It was a part of the script obviously, but all of them had to act shocked.

"Why did you all point to yourselves?" Y/n asked.

"Because each of us is our fan's bias!" Iroha nodded and smiled wider and the audience screamed as confirmation.

"We sing it in our new song too!" Yunah says while looking at Seonghyeon, he understood the gaze.

"Could we... hear that part?" Seonghyeon asks looking at Yunah.

"Only if you agree to dance with us." Yunah politely responds. The fans yelled in anticipation.

Seonghyeon smiled awkwardly but agreed, as it was planned.

"I would like to.." He comes up in the centre of the camera and Minju and Iroha stand behind him on either of his side.

"Are you ready?" Y/n asks and all of them nod.

"Music Start!~" Yunah instructs.

The second pre-chorus starts playing.

"Who's your bias? I'm your bias!" sounded in the speakers and Seonghyeon leaned in with one of his shoulder ahead and then leaned back, mimicking Wonhee's part. His hands on his hips because he doesn't play with girl group choreo.

The girls except Y/n hyped him up by singing along to the song since she wasn't familiar with the lyrics yet.

He danced up till the chorus part and that's when the song stopped. Everyone cheered in the room and clapped at Seonghyeon's great performance.

"How was it?" Seonghyeon asks with a very 'I am shy and that is why I am smiling so much' expression.

"You were really good!" Wonhee gave him a thumbs up and he bowed to them out of shyness, the Illit girls bowing back to him.

"Alright then! Shall we move on to the final round?" Y/n says when the bowing exchange died down.

"The final round is..."

"Gllit!"

Since it was Illit's fandom, they knew they had to get this one right.

"Okay then in 3,2,1... Reveal!

All the members made a heart sign and gllits went crazy with the screams, some voices even belonging to fanboys.

"wooo! Congrats on passing on all 3 rounds, here is your green card!" Y/n hands Wonhee the green card as she bows to her.

Wonhee accepts it and raises the mic to speak.

"As expected, Wonhee-oppa always gets things done." Wonhee jokes and then bites her lip.

Y/n raised her eyebrows out of confusion but kept smiling. She might've been jealous too because Wonhee looked so natural while acting as an oppa.

Seonghyeon tried not to react much but he was equally taken aback.

"We heard Illit is competing for first place, if you win today then what will you do as your winning ceremony?" Seonghyeon asked.

Iroha takes the mic from Wonhee and proceeds "We will all do a bias battle on stage!" She raised her fist.

The fan's voices get loud again.

"Wow, Interesting! Before you go, Could you rate my MCing skills since its my first time?" Y/n posed for them to see.

Seonghyeon couldn't stop smiling at her whenever she did something unknowingly cute. Even existing was cute to him so don't trust him.

"As expected, your MC duo is 10/10!" Iroha gives two thumbs up to both of them shyly.

"Thank you Special MCs for giving us this oppurtunity as instructers. We should go to our stage safely now." Yunah smiles.

"But to see Illit's performance, you must wait! We will perform very soon." Iroha blinks at the camera and nods.

Wonhee starts- "Before that, you can see the amazing performances today from Celebration by Lesserafim—"

"To You! You! by TWS and many more!"Minju completes.

"MCD No 1 Kpop Charting Show!" Y/n sees the ments ending and decides to close it off.

"Don't miss out!" All of them say in sync while waving at the camera.

The staff member says the magical words "CUT!"

Illit immiediately start bowing and return to the exit, Y/n and Seonghyeon bow down as well multiple times.

Y/n leaves out a deep exhale after the very long interview.

Seonghyeon's nervousness died down a bit after that because according to the script, the rest of his team will arrive for the interview next.

Y/n got more nervous because of this.

Since Illit was all girls, she felt comfortable in giggling and making eye contact with them but now since its a male idol group... she warned herself not to do it as frequently as she did right now.

Both of them were going over their script one more time but one of the staff members quickly called them over saying it was urgent news.

Seonghyeon and Y/n jog up to the crew and listened carefully to what they had to say.

"There has been a change in the script, Cortis and Hxtline's interview will be taken together." The staff said.

"Eh?" both of them said in shock.

"Some schedule mishap took place and so we have less time to broadcast. We need you to add some adlibs to this hasty script."

Seonghyeon gets handed a 2 pages sheet with some rough handwriting. His eyes wavered over it with confusion as he was still processing.

Y/n leans in to see the script with him, not realising that their distance was pretty proximate but since they were not facing the fans or camera and were hidden behind the key light, they were fine.

Hopefully...

After having a read through the new script together, both of them meet eyes. This was totally unexpected.

The director quickly called them behind the set, away from the fans so that Seonghyekn and Y/n could discuss freely.

"Adlib? Have you done this the last time?" She asked Seonghyeon as they reach.

He shook his head.

Y/n sighed as she tried to wind up something proper for ideas. She couldnt afford to stutter or go blank.

But at least she has had experience with the camera longer than he did because he was just lost at this point.

"Do the other members know about this?" Seonghyeon asked the director. They said that they are informing them now in their waiting rooms.

Both of them closed their eyes as they imagined their own team's reaction.

"It's okay, we can do this." Seonghyeon tried to comfort her.

She was under pressure but she still felt like it was doable.

"I'll handle it. Just follow my lead, alright?" Y/n said in a more serious tone, her voice was straining from earlier anyways.

Seonghyeon was delighted to find her in a different light every day

She explained the basic idea of what she was thinking to him and even to the director for the improvisation.

She even asks for a pen and writes some notes on the paper handed by the staff. Her mind worked fast under pressure which was why Seonghyeon was admiring her even more than ever.

With that, they even practised some aegyo poses in case the scenario turns around towards them.

It was like she knew more about the idol culture more than he did.

She ignored the world like that for some 8 minutes and showed her script to the director.

The change in his face was evident from how impressed he was. "Y/n-nim, I think we should hire you." he makes a light-hearted joke to compliment her quick thinking.

She only let out a small chuckle humbly.

"Please be on standby!" A voice rang out from a distance, Seonghyeon and Y/n both rushed to their spots.

This time when they reached the set location, both CORTIS and HXT+LINE were standing awkwardly besides each other.

The girls waved to Y/n and she smiled awkwardly at them. They realised that this whole thing was unscripted, so she must be nervous.

Cortis were pretty quiet standing on the right side of the room. They were all internally pretty proud by Seonghyeon who was able to make it this far without making any mistakes.

They all act like friends who secretly hate each other, so it was hard to know if they look at him with fondness or disgust.

In both the groups, one member each was handed a toy horn to mimic the horn noise of a car. A quick word was exchanged from the staff who offered it before returning behind the camera.

The director handed the paper to the management team to make them type in the script in the prompter quickly for the other members who are yet to know how the interview will take place.

Seonghyeon and Y/n stood infront of the camera again to start with their surprise joint interview.

The mics in their hands were unstable and both of them took in deep breaths.

The fans from behind the barricade hyped them up as they saw the uneasiness on their faces.

"Going live in 10!" A countdown began.

Y/n looked at Seonghyeon one last time and nodded in affirmation.

His heart skipped a beat then and there.

His ears turned a soft red, but invisible to the screen because of the distance.

Both of them fixated their eyes on the camera lens with their mics raised to their lips.

QUEUE!

As soon as the sign was given, Eunji and James who had the horns in their hands pressed them hardly creating a loud noise pollution on the set for everyone.

Y/n and Seonghyeon both cover their ears, even some of the members behind them out of instinct.

"Wahh! It's so noisy here~" Y/n said while turning behind, she turns ahead and looks at the camera surprised.

"Seonghyeon-shi, there seems to be a traffic jam behind us." Y/n informs him. The ones behind them stopped playing with the toy that made the area more quiet.

"Is that so? Let us meet the ones responsible for this."

Both of them joined their respective groups and then the camera zoomed in on Keonho and Seora who were closer to each other in the center.

"Ay! Does this make any sense? They stopped on the road because they felt so hopeless in thought." Keonho crosses his arms and looks at the prompter and then at the camera. [DAZED REF]

"Who brings in a truck like that and roams around the street so freely?" Seora shrugged her shoulders. [REDRED REF]

Both of them saying their lines with the needed sass.

Seonghyeon blows the whistle again.

"You both get a red card for creating traffic." He hands them both a red warning card.

"Why? How do we get rid of this?" Seora looks at the hosts for an answer.

"Only when you can earn my Green card by winning a game." Y/n replies to her member.

"It is not our fault."

"Not ours either." Keonho shook his head.

She smiled to herself after listening to the intro of their interaction. She wrote the first lines remembering to reference each other's songs.

It turned out the way she imagined.

"Guys, don't fight." Martin breaks in and pulls Keonho towards him a little.

"Right, we are on live broadcast right now." Nara pulled away Seora.

Keonho pretends to give a cold shoulder to Seora by making an annoyed expression. Seora unknowingly returned the energy by looking at him up and down and acting like she was judging him.

The staff was getting conscious because of this alone because it was unusual for a female and male group to interact on such level.

The fans didn't feel awkward but they were loving it more than anyone.

The screams were louder than anything the MCs had heard all day.

Due to such large reaction, the staff proceeded with the script altered by Y/n.

"We should maybe introduce ourselves first to the audience before things get worse." Juhoon says borrowing Martin's mic and then returning it quickly.

Martin raises his mic and starts- "Hello then, we are CORTIS!" All the members including Seonghyeon bow down.

Nara raises her mic too when the camera shifts towards their side, "And hello! We are HXT+LINE!" all members including Y/n bow down.

The fans cheered again as they had been throughout the day.

Eunji looks at the Prompter screen and says "It is such a hot and busy day, can't you just leave us?" She looks towards Y/n.

"Not now, As Special MCs we have to fulfill our jobs. Right Seonghyeon-shi?" She replied to her bandmate, adding an adlib smoothely.

Seonghyeon catching the hint nods at the camera. "Correct. But what brings the two groups here?" Seonghyeon asked.

Keonho speaks "With the overwhelming power performances of many kpop artists, the bighit rookies were told to go last in line."

"Ah! Why last?" Y/n asked as she looked at Keonho for a split second.

"Because main characters always make a cool entry going last!" Juyeon pointed towards the camera and winked.

"We can turn this into a game and compete for who will perform last so they can get a good build-up audience." Y/n says.

The idea was stupid but it was something written under 8 minutes so we don't care.

"But.. there can be only one winner for this." James tilted his head, reading the korean words off the screen slowly.

"You're right. How do we settle this Special MCs?" Nara looks at both of them.

Y/n and Seonghyeon act like they were thinking. Seonghyeon noticed the prompter changing text and so he read out loud.

"Both groups shall dance to each other's songs and execute it greatly. The winner will get to do their winning ceremony on screen if their group wins the music show no 1 rank for this week." Seonghyeon blankly read off the screen and nodded.

The other members gave a positive feedback to that information. They knew this script was redone last minute and so they knew to understand the randomness of it.

"That is pretty easy then." Seora smiles at the camera when it zoomed on her.

Seonghyeon then adds- "The losing team will have one member do a 3-set aegyo."

Everyone fell silence and the audience laughed.

"Got it MC Seonghyeon. Who would like to do the REDRED challenge with me then?" Keonho looks around.

"I will give it a go!" Nara raised her hand. Since both of them did not film the challenge on that day, this was a new content for the fans.

"Let's go!" Seora hyped her from behind.

Keonho stood behind as Nara kept herself a bit ahead of him.

"Alright then, music start!" Y/n commanded.

"Ears to Ears, thats redred" The song played and both of them went for it, they were in sync and had great energy too.

Nara properly finished off the choreo and bowed to Keonho when it got over. The fans shouted from behind the fence.

Keonho bowed back deeper amd appraoched his spot again.

"How was it Keonho-shi?" Y/n asked, even she was anticipating because his respone would be unscripted.

"It was honestly pretty good. Approved." He nodded his head.

"She even did the point move correctly by switching her hands." Seora added an adlib because she cannot stay still without having to say something.

Keonho looks at her and nods vigourlessly.

"Thank you" He says cautiously to Nara. The fans laugh at the sudden thanks and nervous tone of his.

Even Nara couldn't help but smiled.

"Since we did CORTIS's challenge, how about we do our challenge now?" Eunji looks at Juyeon.

"Does anybody here know the footwork part to our song...?" She said implying the dance break.

Juhoon says politely for the camera, not forgetting about her own leg step she did a week ago to his foot, it still sort of pained.

"I know it." Juhoon comes forward.

Juyeon comes forward too and they both stand next to each other but with enough leg space to move.

The song played slowly at first since it was just the warmup, Juyeon of course executed the choreography well since she practised day and night for it.

Y/n and Seora hyped him up with filler words, "Hey!" "Woah!" and more

Juhoon added in his own elegance and did impressive considering he trained in less time during his trainee days.

Viewers couldn't help but notice how Juyeon kept looking at him to make sure if he was doing well or not.

At some point, she squinted her eyes because he did a small mistake nearing the end.

She wasn't satisfied deeply but she approved his dance.

She recalled that he was supposed to dance to their song for the challenge that day and a conversation regarding that resulted his foot getting stepped on by her.

Both of them posed with a peace sign towards the camera and returned to their spots.

"Since we heard both songs, how do you think our song 'REDRED' will do on stage later today Juyeon-shi?" Seonghyeon asked.

Juyeon was slightly surprised by the question but she forgot that this interview was 80% impromptu.

"I think the song will do g-great." She said but stuttered by mistake and she hated it.

Juhoon caught on and smiled coyly. "Really? You looked like you hesitated a bit."

She chuckled for the camera instead of cursing at him to keep an image.

"No no! It's nothing like that, REDRED is a really good song in terms of performance so I think it will be very good." She gives a thunbs uo tk the camera.

"Then James, how do you think of our song in terms of performance?" Y/n asked as she looked at him.

"I liked the fresh concept, it was an enjoyable stage." He clapped 3 times very lightly to show respect.

"Please announce the winners of the dance now." Martin lightly pushed Seonghyeon and his smile widened.

Y/n inhales through her teeth. "Choose a winner? Let the fans decide that!" She pointed towards the fans behind the cameras.

"Alright, if you're looking forward to our stage then make some noise!" Keonho says enthusiastically.

The cheers were very loud. Cortis aren't a hot rookie just by title for sure.

The members hummed in satisfaction. All of them bowing down to the fans.

Eunji chuckles and then later raises her own mic. "If you look forward to our stage then get loud!" The girls put their hands on the side of their ears to hear the fans.

Fortunately they recieved a hearty reaction too. All of them were stunned by the fan's immence support towards them.

"Wah, both teams got a good reaction though?" Seora says and tilts her head in awe.

"You're right, how should we decide?" Y/n acted like she was thinking and let out a sigh.

"Since both teams did so well, shouldn't both of them be the winners?" Nara reads the text on the prompter with her name in the brackets to signal her speaking

"We also think that way." Juhoon nods in reply.

"Ahh.. what about the penalty?" Juyeon looks towards the MCs.

Seonghyeon and Y/n waited for some lines to drop on the prompter but something unexpected came up on the screen instead.

"The MCs should do it on our behalf." James looks at both of them with a playful smile.

The fans screamed like crazy greatly anticipating the moment.

"Ahh... MCs?" Seonghyeon taken aback looks at the staff behind the cameras who was typing for a quick second.

Y/n also gasped in surprised and looked at Seonghyeon awkwardly. She wanted to say something but couldn't.

"Show us!" Was repeated three times.

Since it was live and they were already under the pressure, what more can they do other than obey?

Both of them assembled in the middle so the camera could capture them in one frame, their steps very iffy.

With every step they wanted to take two back.

Who the fuck even does aegyo these days, isn't it outdated? The Cortis members already got secondhand embarassment even though they didn't even start.

The girls were rather looking forward.

After a mental countdown, Y/n does a cheek heart and closed her eyes. Seonghyeon still cautious, saw her with his peripheral vision and copied her a second later.

Some of their members found it cute while the others cringed as they looked into a nearby monitor to see the view from the front.

They quickly switched it up to the second aegyo pose with recently trending mochi peace pose even when Seonghyeon had a reaction time slower than her.

He never thought after debuting, knowing cute poses would be one checklist to tick off if he wanted to be called a true idol. How oddly sad.

They ended the 'punishment' with a pout and balling their hands into fists besides their cheeks, shaking them back and forth.

"bboing bboing~" They both say together.

The fans lost it and almost went home with an injured lung that day.

Everyone behind those two were now mortified with goosebumbs from the amount of embarrasment they all felt.

Idols always see peers in their goofy non idol unserious personality so when any aegyo plays on, everyone is suddenly a stranger.

Seora and Eunji were giggling behind their hands covering their mouth while Juyeon closed her eyes to remain calm.

Nara reminded herself that this was fanservice. She was media trained more properly so her reaction looked normal.

From the eldest to the youngest in Cortis, nobody was ready to look at Seonghyeon because if they did the whole vibe will get silent and awkward from how loudly they will be laughing at him.

Seonghyeon let out a laugh turning his head away from the camera. Y/n only pursed her lips after rethinking her choice on debuting as an idol.

They turned to walk away from eachother to stand besides their group far from the centre.

Before they did, Y/n bowed down to him out of respect. She bended a bit too lower than usual, probably 55 degrees.

Seonghyeon bowed too because, he won't get away with rude allegations with less than 365 days on the work job if he hadn't done the same as she did.

When respect arrives mutually, the universe decides to disrespect everything you both had been piling up since so long.

As Y/n raised her head, and so did Seonghyeon...

They crashed.

Their heads bump into one another with great impact.

When I mean great, it's GREAT

Imagine someone walking into a glass door, hardly realising that it was a closed door, they had just hit themselves and embarrassed themselves in the presence of other strangers around them.

It was exactly that for the both.

Y/n was knocked over to the 8th wonder of the world for a second from how hard his head hit hers.

Her eyes widened very much, "Are you-o okay?" She said cautiously but couldn't help giggle in between since all of this was happening because of her.

Seonghyeon's hand raised and placed it on the part of his head where he got the corresponding pain from the hit.

"Are you okay too?" he asked, trying to stay serious. His head turned away from the camera, and both of them stood there for a minute, out of embarrassment.

They apologised to each other a lot of times, countless times.

The staff behind panicked and looked at each other with wavering gazes like they were about to lose their jobs.

The fans went crazy in laughter mode. They were so happy to be able to witness history being written.

As for the other members, it was messy.

The girls looked anywhere but at the duo.

Seora turned around 180 degrees and faced the blue wall with her head ducked from how badly she wanted to laugh like a dolphin. Her shoulders vibrating making iher intentions obvious nevertheless.

Nara turned her back around with one hand, pulling her sleeve.

The other two girls closed their eyes and did anything but open their lips because even the slightest sound that escapes will make them regret for decades. (Imagine that one speed meme)

Cortis were basically showing off that they give no damns and that they didn't care by the resence of the camera and fans.

James and Juhoon covered their faces with one of their hands, hiding their smiles underneath, making eye-contact with each other and communicating with their eyes.

Translation: their bro is cooked.

Keonho leaned on Martin's shoulder, placing his forearm on Martin's shoulder dramatically and acted like he was crying on his twin's behalf. Not sure if he was crying or laughing or doing both.

Martin tried to remain sane.

"Wahh thank you for doing the punishments, we really.." he chuckled in between. "yeah really appre-he-ciate it." He giggles in between.

Everyone laughed more openly but were still careful not to appear ridiculous.

After a small silence when everyone finally calmed down, Y/n takes in a deep breath and moves on to end the damn interview for what went on for ages.

"If your own group wins first place today, what will be your winning ceremony?"

Juhoon answers since he was the member who was stable enough to talk normally. "If we win first place, we will drink Hot vanilla latte on stage as our winning ceremony." The members were still in the process of paying attention to what was going on so they just nodded.

Juyeon mouthed "wow" because she envied their version of the winning ceremony.

As the vibe slowly returned to its original state, Eunji speaks after a beat. "If we win today, we will be drinking hot water in this summer time to show how determined we are."

That was not their plan, it was the company's.

They would love to get the win, but partially they were fine with not getting it too because consuming hot water in hot weather is straight up jail.

"To see both teams perform soon, please stay around." Seonghyeon blinked awkwardly, his voice a bit lower than before.

"MCD Number 1 Kpop charting show! Till then..."

"Don't miss out!" They all say in synchronisation, some even giggling into the mics at how the atmosphere turned around from the professional interview vibes into an unserious one.

"CUT~"

The room erupted in chaos.

All of them burst out laughing, some even dropping to the ground. After some good wheezes, they turned to the victims.

The girls ran up and huddled around Y/n to check her head to see if she felt pain or had a bump in that area.

It wasn't evident because her bangs covered her forehead.

The pain was rather more to her upper head than her forehead.

She was lower than him when she bowed and rose up, her head was what came into contact with his forehead.

On the other hand...

Martin shoved Seonghyeon's shoulders and laughed.

Juhoon teased him and smirked, Keonho kept clicking his tounge and shook his head slowly to show disappoinment.

James was imitating his teammate with an exaggerated expression and displayed his second hand embarassment.

They all secretly eyed his head to see if there was any redness on that spot and, there was, in fact.

All of them found that even more funny.

Poor Seonghyeon.

They didn't expect it at all. It will just bu another funny interaction between two idols and people will let it go after 2 days, right?

Both of them were very flustered when the next day they found themselves trending on Twitter.
