I mean I think Qrow has been making jabs about Penny all along (YOU SHUT UP ABOUT SENTIENT GARBAGE, ASSHOLE), so he probably was, to start with

but then the second half of Qrow’s remark seems directed more at Ironwood, and Pyrrha seems to get exactly what his meaning is

[i'm not sure i understood the implication on the 'cramming aura into something else' was the implication ironwood's arm? because how is that despicable, people channel their aura into weapons all the time? unless they're referring to the concept in the abstract]
