A Skip Down the Memory Lane | Marlene & James | July 16th

His visit and their talk should have been more uncomfortable all things considered. Their lives weren’t easy, their subjects full of pain and their futures could be too short to even be called that. But as James stood there, in the middle of Marlene’s safe zone with her hand clutching his, with the way she had brightened up visibly after such a small amount of time, he could only wish for it to never end.
He smiled at her happily and proceeded to shoo her in the general direction of her bedroom hoping that she wouldn’t get all that long getting ready for the excursion that he was now ridiculously excited for. Where we’re going has no shops.’
‘Oh, I will have to use your floo, though. I mean, I know that I said that Lily will understand and everything, but I think I should let her know that I’m going to be gone for most of the day.’ And he knew that she would understand, he knew that she would not mind him taking care of his dear friend, even if it means that she had to stay without his help for so long, but he still wants to let her know where he’s going. There was no reason for him to make her worry,
