She gave a light hum to his words, finding herself relaxing just being in his presence. The fingers of one hand danced along him arm, tracing patterns as she went. The other had fingers intertwined with his. Riley and her had had their share of problems, miscommunications that led to arguments and things of that nature, but at the end of the day, she trusted him far more than she found she could voice aloud. Shifting, she glanced up at him, now partially laying on his chest. The last time she was this comfortable with someone, she was a teenager with her best friends... That was actually the last good day she had with them. 

          “---Can’t remember the last time someone used you as a pillow?” She teased, brow raising in a playful manner.

Should she have left the hospital before the doctors gave her the go-ahead? No, probably not, but she did so with good reason! The FBI had been looking into the Kraj recently, and with that, well, came more heat on her. It was dangerous for her to be around people now... Damn, why couldn’t they understand; they were only making things worse!? She had to leave, run, come up with a plan once she was safe, but first, she needed to find the leak. Who could’ve gotten into her files? No one, there was---

               “---Riley?” she paused, brow furrowing in confusion. “---What are you--- oh, no, no... please, tell me you didn’t.”

Her light still what? Any other day she’d be able to keep up with the other with ease, but today? Listen, she was exhausted, had only had one cup of coffee, and quite frankly, he was lucky she was still sitting right side up. If it hadn’t been him that called her, she wouldn’t have even bothered to leave her house, knowing full well that days like this never ended well for her. Passing out, nightmares, waking up screaming; you get the gist. Still, she was trying her best to keep up, not wanting to potentially upset him or anything. Though her brows furrowed ever so slightly, a light sigh leaving her. 

          “—I’m sorry, love; you’re gonna have to explain that one to me.”

               “—Vous êtes adorable, le saviez-vous?” she paused, a string of giggles escaping her lips. Truly, ever since meeting the other, it had been an adventure. It wasn’t every day you found someone you could have such deep conversations with, especially when they were as weird as discussing why aliens seemed to always abduct cows.  

               “—I think that’s the cutest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.”

                    “---We should go to a haunted house... or amusement park.” 

Also, haunted, of course. Never mind the fact that it was only August and most would consider such a notion to be silly. Or that the only reason they were actually meeting at this time of night was ‘to get a cup of coffee’ and the likelihood of her convincing him to go was slim. Oh and let’s not forget that even if she did manage to convince him, they’d still have to hunt one down open this early on. Most didn’t start opening until at least September, but she really wanted to go and besides, it’d be fun.
